Holden
Hi guys i was wondering about my new setup. i now have a level 5 18 and i am trying to put a Kicker 2500.1 on it do yall think it should make sufficient power to make this sub bang hard i also have a kicker 1500.1 and a jbl 600.1 if i thought about adding the amp together would they actually and more power to the speaker or would the 2500 just cancel the lower powered amps out. Im kinda new to the forum thing so i hope this not a bad question. Thanks. Robert8252
Never.. NEVER MIX DIFFERENT AMPS ON ONE POWER DESTINATION. The kicker 2500.1 will make you happy with it. Just use that. THEKINGsBACK
I smell recone lmao Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
JZeFF
Holden, i have some advice for you... please take it. DO MORE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU HOOK ANYTHING UP. It sounds like this is your first "real" system, its alot more difficult than you think it is, lol. I know in this forum 2500 watts doesn't sound like much, but it really is quite a bit for your first system... Know EXACTLY what your doing before you do anything. Figure out the wiring, look into a better brand of battery, get yourself the sufficient size wire, for the love of god do the "Big 3" and when you finally do install it... Take it SLOW. Im not trying to sound like an ass, but mistakes made in this field come with this magic white smoke, and its not cheap or fun, lol. edit: im not trying to scare you, or make it less fun. Just make sure you do it right Edited December 4, 2010 by JZeFF Quote Pioneer x930 bt Rockford t2500 bdcp 18" nightshade v1 DC audio 175.4 RF power T162s up front, infinity 3 way 6x9's in the back (removing rear stage and re-doing doors soon) 3x XS power D2700's Knukonceptz 0awg all around

Holden
Well i was just wondering but, this is not my first system, my last system i had was the same 2500 hooked in a Yellow Cobalt SS/SC ( i miss that car) with to two dual 4 15" kicker L5 in a sealed box not enough room to have a ported one. I am hoping that having a ported box will sound alot better and now i also have a Avy. The seal box would hit really low my rear view actually fell off on the way down to spring break last so shitty, it was already hard enough to see out with 5% tint. I am running two batteries one acdelco stock, one yellow top optima(already bought not changing it up), 4 tsunami gauge wires to my 75.2 jbl, then 2 stands of tsunami 4 gauge wires from battery to the 2500, and a 300 amp fuse, i will have a battery isolator to not drain other battery. For the box i have read that for the 18" that 6.5cu/ft box is the best what is ya'lls opinion on box and my system. I will be having a shop in Valdosta Ga hook it up anyways they did my last system also never had any problems.
