Your alternator does not power the amp, it is charging the battery which powers the amp. But if you are over working your alternator just trying to keep up with charging the battery then you will say goodbye to the amp. You might be ok, big 3, be incredibly conservative with the gains, and you can minimize drops in voltage. But you will not be seeing a true 2600 and that's just something you're going to have to deal with. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you? Im prob. going to add a battery and another alt. or a bigger one.
