Rection Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 we had a trucker come from miami this morning (about 650 miles) to our shop to pick up a set of parts, and then deliver it to virginia (about 500 more miles). we had to get the first 2 parts loaded in his truck so that we would have room to finish the third part. we got the first 2 parts loaded in the truck then went to work on the third part. as soon as we went to make the first cut, the power went out. a tree had fallen up the road and wiped out the power lines, and we knew the power would be out the rest of the day. well my father has never thought my car audio hobby was a good thing until today. we didnt have power to run our saw, so i showed him a little car audio trick. wired the amp into a 6 outlet power strip, then run 60hz on a tone generator, cranked it up, then went to cutting with the skilsaw. we cut and worked for about 30 minutes with no problems. i was very surprised that the amp ran the work lights and the skilsaw without problems for that long. so yeah, its always nice to have alot of power on tap in your car..... never know when youll need it.
