Cudda_Kine Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I just installed 7 pairs (14 tweeters) of Soundstream TWS-4 Series. Not sure if it is clipping, but I'm running it off my JVC KD-A815 with no 4 channel amp. 50 watts per channel deck power. So each front channel has 7 on each side. I wired them all positive to all negative. Sounds alright but I'm not sure if there is a way to make them sound better. Which is getting a 4 channel amp to push them? Because I think that they are clipping or some sort of style. Or maybe their built-in crossover isn't as Great so which Cross-over could I get to filter out the lower hz. Please Let me know! Here are SOME pictures, ... . Putting a 1080P projector where the Rear view mirror used to be, shooting out the windshield on to a blank wall that you/I can park in front of it. Resulting in a 300" Display with Surround sound in the car. Imaging watching Jurassic Park With your subwoofer. The water glass scene will be life-like. Thanks One more EDIT: For the low Hz. I'll be using this with a Incriminator Audio 21" Subwoofer. DP EDIT AGAIN: As you can see, the projector will mount very nicely. Can't wait to get it next Thursday Final EDIT: The hand(s) that made this monstrosity!!!
7jezuz7 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Do you know the ohm load on each channel? Could be a low impedance. And nice build! UnderLoK Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 As the guy above said your impedance is way too low. Also that box looks way too small for a 21" DP, but maybe it's the pic. What's up with the fabric roll down windows? What kind of car is that? sqsux Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 some haters, if you like that many tweeters then more power to you! but I have to agree on the wire management comment, the front of the car should be for presenting, save the mess for the rear. Start out boxy, shape as you move along. Dc Audio Team Fur
tonedeaf Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Headunit amps are such clean power, @ .57 ohms they must sound great. My opinion is you need more tweeters. Who wants to hear they're midbass when you can just have more tweeters.

Rockbrook Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 damn i thought my wiring looked bad.....not compared yours. thanks for making me feel 100 times better about my shit lol
THEKINGsBACK Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 wow.. not only are you running a 0.57 ohm load on each channel of your headunit, but it's all tweeters. This is ... about 400 kinds of epic fail sir. Your headunit is gonna take a shit on you. There's no way anyone on the planet in their right mind would think that that much tweet could sound good. You've killed your soundstage by mounting these things behind your head. << edit: i see they're not so much behind you. forget this one. The install looks like shit. Please. For the love of god. Stop. lmao.... lol     he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
