ChevyBoy Posted September 7, 2007 Report Share Posted September 7, 2007 i own both. I paid $850 dollars for my Ps3 probably 8 months ago (maybe longer i forgot). I swear to GOD i have about 1 hour play time on it and it has a layer of dust covering it. The technology in it is cool as hell, i am a sony PS guy from day 1 but there is almost NO games that interest me. I own 4 i think and i want more but i see nothing on the shelf at my local gamestop that makes me look twice. Also, my kick-it room where i do all my gaming has a 50" LG plasma with my 360 on a VGA cable....PS3 on HDMI.....i cant tell the difference between blue ray and HDDVD either. They both look great but ZERO difference in quality. Maybe i need to see the same movie on both. I have both BR and HD movies but no two are the same..... Oh and BTW: no my ps3 isnt for sale Im waiting patiently for them to do something to get my attention. So far all i see is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. what games are you into? they have a SHIT LOAD of games end of next month and november. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Steve did you buy yours off the streets for 850, that seems kinda high for a system that retailed for 599. unless you meaqnt with your games and everything , i think i just misunderstood. Amalan Posted September 9, 2007 Report Share Posted September 9, 2007 im a broke ass and imo 50 buck a year is a small ass price to pay for a service thats pretty damn nice and entertaining for me agreed. there virtually no lag even if your connection sucks ass. i find that since most of the games i play are on 360, all my friends are on it and i chat with them more than on ps3 where they barely play it. the thing i dont like about the blueray technology is that it has to remain scratch free in order for it work. with a normal dvd you can have a minor scratches and itll still play but on a blue ray disc, one minor scratch and that game/dvd is useless. ps3 has alot of technology in it i admit, but right now, i really dont think its worth buying. in due time when more games come out for it that are able to fully utilize the blue ray technology and the power of the ps3, i think everyone should pick one up. And when that happens, im sure the ps3 will drop in pricing in order to stay competitive with microsoft. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
