sundownz
Made for local customer -- thought it would be fun to use the Z v.3 spider on the NS v.2 -- we have about 44.5mm of motor clearance and this spider will allow you to reach it. Pretty impressive to see free air I also am experimenting with a former cap as he is running high power. The cap will enhance the effectiveness of our coil cooling setup. Once I get the dust cap glued I'll run specs -- it is still pretty fresh but I gave it a nice run free air before gluing on the former cap. sundownz
Basically watch the Z v.3 18" video and add a bit more to that -- as the prototype Z v.3 motor only had ~38mm or so clearance so we bottomed it out before hitting the 40s. If you do sell this sub, you should recommend your customers not to do a wall this sub. sundownz
*laughs* It is getting there... wait until I get the larger frames tooled in the "X" line and get some really big spiders on stuff... that will be fun. I've told you this before, but I'm psyched for the X. I'll probably be buying either 2 15s or 18s. I didn't realize they'd have a ton of potential flex though. Hell yes- it will be fun Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
audiofanaticz
looks good what does the former cap due that the dustcap alone wont do? just more pressure for cooling? and are the Nightshade v2 parts in stock?

We have parts for NS v.2s but not the motors -- he already had a motor. I can explain the former cap a bit more in email... I've noticed quite a bit of copy-catting going on so I'll have to stop educating my competitors I suppose Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
