We need to wire it at 4 ohms, he has an Audiopipe 3k and his sub can only handle 1,500 rms. What can we do? CJ18 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Just be careful setting the gains. I would check and see what the preouts on the sub channel of his HU are and set them for about 1/2 of that and then match the gains for that.

Did you mean that the sub cant handle the power the amp puts out a 2ohms? I hope so. And that amp is a bit overrated, so if you run it at 2ohms to that 1 sub, and adjust it correctly, you wont have any issues, use your ears and brains, if you hear distortion, turn it down. A little overhead in power is usually a good thing.
