not everyone needs 1 inch mdf. for most people 3/4 is fine. I do like that bracing idea. i'm going to give it a shot.

On my bigger builds I do 1.5 inch mdf and 1.25 inch dowel pine and 5/8 or more fiberglass in my pressure corners and works like a champ. 2x4s are for building decks,

my box is 6" gridded 1 X 2 tube steel, welded to the car with 4 laminated layers of >.70 Baltic Birch. My baffle is 9 laminated layers of .7 birch and tube steel encapsulated and bolted. the back wall is 15 layers thick and two layers of steel. Over kill???? I dont think so.....there is no such thing as overkill when you are talking the presures that come from sound, and when you add power to the equasion..... not 1kw but 25+kw the presure is massive.......but if you want to run single mdf, and brace then go ahead...............weak sauce!!!!!

I use solid 2" mdf :)

Its very rigid lol

how you like that 2" mdf? its the bees knees aint it! i got 12 sheets of it here at the shop, as well as 20 sheets of 4" mdf.

Will you sell me some of those sheets??

they are only about $400 per sheet......
