i have a cheap scope that cost $100 at turners.. it has a dear on the box. i have a mosin nagant with a ati stock.. im looking at stepping up to a better rifle. maybe a remigton 700

So.... First time I had this happen.

Was shooting the 1917 at today, some kid saw it and got all sorts of googly eyed. Let him take a few shots. Guess he was a bit excited because he drooled, yes, drooled on it. About peed myself I was laughing so hard

I usually get that response when we shoot with people from jersey and ny. They see us with all the NFA stuff and non restricted ARs and get all gaga. I usually hand them a 40 round pmag and say here this is what freedom feels like.

I don't doubt that one bit rolex lol.

So sometime this week I am going to head into town and see if I can get my hands on an axis ii xp at gander to check it out and if I like the way it feels I will probably make a purchase two weeks from friday, I did look around locally for ammo and 06 is a hell of a lot more prevalent than the win mag, also about half as much.

So I think that I will go with the .30-06 savage axis II. The II has the accutrigger, which I hear is very nice, it comes with a weaver scope which retails for 100. Figure maybe down the line I can replace the stock, or at least glass bed it.
