The official guns and stuff shoot the breeze thread

Recommended Posts

Guns, ammo/shells, tools+cleaning kit, first aid, gloves/eyepro/earphones, a ream of 8.5*11 and a stapler, spray paint, clays, and water. If we've made new steel targets we'll haul them up to leave out there (private range).

We don't bother with brass catchers, just sweep and sort cases at the end of the day. Our friend who built/owns the range reloads so we leave him brass and usually a case of beer for a "range fee".

God that sounds nice

Depends on what my goal is that day. Always a pistol at minimum usually something with a can after that it's what I open the safe and grab

Operation ghetto gat is under way. New front sight is in. Grips will

Be here Friday I think. Or Saturday. Still debating on changing out the safety slide stop and mag release to chrome too. I might after I finish the hop up parts

I think swapping those pieces out to chrome as well will make it look a little better. the black looks tacky to me. And the sights. Just me though

Bought my first AR-15 a few weeks ago. For the longest time I have been going back and forth between getting an AR-15 and a Springfield 1911 MC Operator. I ended up deciding on the AR and here she is. It's a DiamondBack AR .556 and came with a flat top rail. I have added a forward grip, the red dot, switched out the grip and trigger guard to Magpul grip and guard. The next things I want to do is switch out the stock to something a bit more comfy and sturdy, add a sling, and maybe down the road switch out the barrel to a 26" barrel.

If you want a 26" AR then have you considered building a separate upper for that barrel? Then can just swap out uppers at the range depending on how/what you're shooting at.
