T4000's are beasts they will put 4000+ watts at 1 ohm, way more then those subs need! Great amps need lots of current, I would not buy it for those subs. But maybe thats just me.

Great amp but yeah, not for those subs. Also if you are looking to put out 4k, there are cheaper options that will still sound great. It sounds like the shop either doesn't know what they are talking about or they are just trying to get cho monies!

1st you need to understand the demands of having 4k or even 8k. you need a pretty serious electrical system in the car. 250 amp alt and a couple nice batteries for 4k. if you do not do these upgrades you WILL have problems.

now do you need two 4k amps? no. do you need to spend $1400 on a 4k amp? no lol. you could spend a lot less for that power. thats up to you though. just trying to help out.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

100% true. Idk why some people dont understand the concept of needing power to make power though o_O

you could definitely find used T4000s for half that shipped in the lower 48. i LOVE my T4000's and are very reliable, beautiful, powerhouses which are discontinued. but like said by skittles, you can get that power for half the cost.

but what has really confused me is the wiring options which havent been mentioned for two D2 subs...you have .5ohm and 2ohm. so if youre going to want something nice for those subs youre going to want as close to 4000 watts at 2 ohms.

i would NOT trust those subs wired to .5ohm. i have never given the HCCAs more than 2000 in a box i liked and have it last, personal experiences.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

im with slamin on looking into that an SD 8k in your good with keeping away from clipping them, there were a few used ones wondering around for a good price, or the special they have on the 5k.

but like skittles said, its gonna take a hell of a good electrical to run that.
