The BTL is to cheap to compare to the Z?

Oh, absolutely not. I would LOVE to see a comparison of the two. However, I can totally see a world class SPL sub like DDZ being on top. Just don't be suprised if the DD is louder is all I am saying.

I love my AA/FI subs and always will!

That's stupid.

DD charges what they do, because they have no competition.

At the time, there wasn't any NEO SPL subs out that would compare. So therefore they got to charge what they wanted. And plus, they wanted to make it where everybody couldn't have one.

I mean if it cost 500 dollars, any average competitor could own them. And that would defeat the purpose.

I'm sure Fi wouldn't come out with a sub without fully testing it against any SPL subs, is all I'm saying at the moment.

I don't think the N3 is designed to compete directly against the DD-Z -- per the specs on the site the BL^2/RE is about 300 which isn't quite as high as the Warden and I'm assuming the DD-Z is right up there in that range (360 or so).

As the N3 is less expensive than either that shouldn't be an issue, IMO.

I bet "IF"* this sub just happens to out perform the Z in EVERY install, people will still spend unGodly amounts on it, and swear they are the best. For reason I have no idea.

IIRC, Sig came out with a sub, close to the Z, and similar performance.

could you play these subs in a 26hz box how low can the N3s play can they dip into the 20s??? i appreciate any help i have my 4 18s Btl ufo motors in the box now and am looking to upgrade woofers i play nothing but lowww music on 4 saz 3500s do you think the N3 is a good choice for me??

I'm just a newb... but from what I've read no, it's geared as a SPL sub. I've read again and again the N2 is geared towards daily music, however the N3 can be used as a daily sub.

Can they, yes. Are they the best choice, probably not. They have SAVAGE amount of motor force which lends them very well in an SPL type install. With the amount of power you have the N3s should in theory be louder. Just expect the sound to be aggressive, high impact and extremely tight. If this is something you'd rather avoid then the N2s are the better option.

However, there will be some more options coming in the not to distant future

Man, did you realize this is an old ass thread? No, because if you had been paying any attention, or read the whole thread before posting, you would have caught on tho the fact that the OP is now banned, and it has been stated multiple times that this sub is designed for high tones, SPL. Not so much for music.

So to answer your question NO, I don't believe this sub is the right choice for what you want.
