Help needed installing amps in a 2016 Silverado

Recommended Posts

i can't speak directly to your setup but something that I've learned is that on newer GM Bose setups, the amp has this neat little trick of sending it's signal through the negative side of the terminal. many amps and LOCs have a tendency of seeing this at high volumes and not liking it then turning off. I've done quite a few systems where I used the higher end PAC LOCs and the Kicker ZXSum8 that somehow didn't have issues. either way, this is just to give you some sort of direction of where to go.

Yes

Different brand, or just switching one of them around?

I'm not telling you to throw money at the problem without properly identifying the cause, but for future reference when you are at the point of spending $50-60 on three cheap LOCs it makes sense to spend a little more for something like the LC6i.

Static drops are my bag.

check your battery voltage on your sub amp when this happens. i wonder if battery drop is playing into it.

actually it doesnt, speaker wire is AC voltage, your loc cant tell positve from negative since they alternate.
