so i got a package today

I have been spending a ton of time experimenting, practicing, learning my new CNC. Lucky for me, i spent 10 years as a Project Engineer aka the guy who draws on CAD all day for a commercial construction company. So i know my way around CAD. EVEN THOUGH ALL CADS ARE NOT created equal of course, i still have the basics. Same for my sticker (vinyl cutter) machine. It also uses CAD. I been drawing on that for about 4 years now. I haven't even scratched the surface, so to speak, but i still am a little further along than someone starting from zero that knows nothing. So i have some left over 3/4" and 1" MDF from my original private "stash" (LOL), but i bought some standard, regular old particle board to practice with. It's only $20 a sheet compared to $36. I have been playing non stop with it First thing i did was build a quick box, didn't even measure ANYTHING. No idea what the airspace is, don't know what the port is. Don't know tuning. I just wanted to toss together something small and fast to see how accurate it is (or i am). It was GREAT! 2 CT 8" subs, countersunk, ported! Took 5 minutes to design, 7 minutes to cut, 7 minutes to glue and nail. At first, i forgot to cut the center brace to allow air to flow, but i didn't care because this is just for trial. I explained that VERY clearly yet a handful of idiots decided not to read and tried to call me out on it. SMH. So the next day i took 30 seconds out of my morning and made a center brace with a hole. Even though i STILL don't know what the box is or how it sounds, nor do i care. But for those watching, it now has a hole. LOL. Back to the reason i posted this. I have always wanted, needed RF Rings with the tab style cut-outs. They are a bitch on a regular router so really, i didn't do them because of that reason alone. Now with the CNC, it's a piece of cake! Once it was designed anyway! Check out few pics of what i have been working on. I made: RF Pro Tweeters, 6.5" and 8". I also did standard 6.5" rings that fit PERFECT on 4 different brands i took off my shelf. I made the standard, smooth (no tabs) rings large enough to accommodate a grill. AFter about 30 rings, i noticed there was a lot of left over "donut holes". I want to make the most out of my wood, so i decided to try and cut regular sized (1.75") tweeter pods in the middle. That worked out great too! Oh and PROOF this is MY design...took me about 45 minutes, mainly because i am still getting familiar with the software.

Thats why there is 12v amps, for people who run 12v electrical. IMO big boy amps need big boy electrical. Won't disagree with you that the SCV needs big boy electrical. However, I'd like you to show me a 12v tested amp instead of a 14.4 tested. I don't think I have come across a korean board that isn't 14.4 tested. just so you are aware.. the scv amp is not like the rest.. its made to be efficient at lower voltage so it actually needs less electrical than other amps to get its rated power.. somehow im getting the feeling you dont know much about the SCV line of amps This isn't true. They have the same efficiency as the SAZ line. They put out more power at similar voltages, but not at greater efficiency.

so they put out more power with similar voltage and are not more efficient? okay making more power with same voltage sounds like its efficient.. now if its amperage we are talking about then there is a difference but the scv line puts out more power over the saz line .. we are talking voltage wise not amperage the scv will make more power at 12v over other amps that are high voltage.. for instance the scv put out more power than my dc 9k at 12v but the 9k would kill it at 16v and even more at 18v.. this line of amps is made to make power at 12v system

Well here is one of the video's floating around of the Wagon. I made this one right after I installed all 14 of them. Sorry my camera kept hitting the rear gate! Was kinda in a hurry so I didn't piss the neighbors off!

every time i see one of your post you're talking down on other brands 14 volts is realistic its not like its at 16v or even 18 volts.. if some people cant support the electrical for any amp then they shouldnt be in the car audio scene

can i get a name change? havent ben on here in so long ive had quite a few new setups. wanting to start fresh with my new build log. "askmeaboutmy6.5s" im sure its available. if not just let me know thanks

guys, i have found its MUCH easier and faster to hit the delete button instead of moving your posts around. This is the off topic area. We have a video section for video's. We have an OFF TOPIC video section for non car audio video's. We have amplifier and subwoofer sections. Why do people continue to put stuff here that has a place somewhere else? I am getting tired of moving them for you, it is just easier to hit the delete button. if you are looking for your post and it doesnt exist anymore, that is probably where it is at. Please try to find the proper section for your post if you plan on keeping it. Thanks!

I dont understand why you think " the U.S. is focused on bass and we're focused on overall sound" but it dont matter, welcome to the site anyway! 8)PS, I live in the U.S. and my Tahoe has 20 speakers in it, only 4 are subs What do you think we just use woofers only? Maybe A DBDrag one note car but other than that i think most people here like their mids and highs at least able to keep up with the bass.
