Hook the amp up first with only power wired connected. If no protect then try with RCAs. If no protect then add a single speaker, not using the box and terminals, just wired directly. If it's ok, then test each sub independently.

Each coil should read the impedance of your subs or really close to it. So for 2ohm dvc subs each coil should read about 2ohms. And check resistance of your leads also and minus that from the reading you get from your coils.

OK so consensus is pull all subs and check resistance of each coil. What should each coil read ? Double check all wires from subs to terminals Double check all wires on each sub .

Sorry I can't see sigs on mobile. If you have dual 2s in series then 4.5 seems like they're ok. Also you want to touch the leads of your dmm together and see how much resistance your leads have and then minus that from the reading. But yea I would make sure every wire is good inside also.

speaker lead may be grounding out on the basket when the spider moves. Not sure if its an instant protect, or if its only when turned up. Didnt read the whole thread.
