  1. The R9 290/x are hot, but i'm enjoying my 290x, and as far as i've seen it compares well with the 780Ti for roughly the same price as the 780. Mind you I bought before some of the prices jumped due to coin miners, but it looks like they might be dropping down again anyways with the next batch of cards (stock all but dried up during the buying frenzy). http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?288078-Crossfire-vs-SLI-780Ti-780-290X-290-x-Dual-Triple-Quad I game at 2560x1600 btw. Single 290x for now works great for me, and isnt that loud. In fact my GTX670's were louder in SLI due to poor cooler design for running SLI.. go figure lol Ill just PM you Then why didn't you just pm him, lol, now I wanna know, heh heh
  2. haha, insane......insane.....I've been building my own PC's since 2003. My current one is about 2 years old, usually only let them get about one year old but I don't game anymore, no time. BUT even with the slight OC I have been doing to everything I can my score on 3DMark11 is only creeping around 7k. I wish I had a 12K+ scored PC but I really can't justify it for the lack of gaming I do anymore. Buddy of mine was in the 11K's a year ago but that still ain't no 12K+ Been drooling over this build since the thread started...Jealous as all hell. Truly a nice gaming rig no matter what others opinions are. Already know it will perform flawlessly for you but still curious as your your thoughts on it for the demands you had in mind for it when you built it once you test it out on all that stuff.
  3. haha, that's awesome, totally heard it, right at :50. Very cool Steve!
  4. 2 10k's on 4 - 15"...disamn!! Nice results sir, keep up the great results.
  5. Do any of you guys ever try 3DMark11? Just curious what your guys scores are like if you do. If not, that's cool too. =)

  10. First off, I have this exact alt (Mechman 370 Elite 6 phase) and it has performed flawless for me. Period. Does 252 at idle..... Highly recommend Mechman and will buy from them again in the future. On a side note, since this thread was created I am curious as to the results per if the alt is sent in and tested to see if there is in fact anything wrong with it or if it is just the Ecotech and/or weather and/or belt slip issues. etc. Tuned in if we can get an update as to whether anything was wrong or not. OP: please get some form of battery tender if you don't already and plug it in over night, every night. (every night not needed but just do it, lol)
  11. They basically come charged BUT, it is recommended to top them off before install always. Sitting for a day on your step is nothing, it could have been sititng in storage for 6 months before even shipping to you, just saying. But yea, everyone tops them off before install. It is recommended as well
  12. Just popping in to give recognition I was here and props for the heads up on the sellers and all other comments above me. Thanks! =)

oh well, 1-7, not like i had/have high hopes anyways, lol. Worse start for us since 1961, lmao

  16. If anything add a alt even if you have to make custom bracket. but honestly watch your voltage with the 2 - 10k's because as stated you prolly don't have to do anything. thats a rather large batt. bank, lol
  17. The distortion light would never come on fully to show distortion, just randomly flash when turning the gain and never at the same point. I could turn the gain all the way up with out the light fully coming on to show distortion same thing happened to me but might just not be enough voltage going to the amp. Also, as Steve said the light will come on and off while turning up the gain and NOT at the same point as YOU stated. Says that right in the manual. maybe i missed it but what equipment are you using? Line driver needed perhaps? You got the manual for the DD-1 correct?
  18. It's my birthday today. 32!!!!

  19. Steve, How many inches of space do you have between your port and your hatch/doors on your Tahoe? I'm not sure if the older Tahoe's have slightly more depth in the rear or not but I run 4 15" and although I have tons of room width wise I really don't think I could fit 18's and still have room for port facing back. I would like to switch to 18's without doing a wall but I fear there just isn't room enough for it.
