  1. SMD DD-1+ and CC-1: confirmed my max volume on H/U, set my gains on sub DC5K amp, set my SSF, LPF all in under 15 minutes before going to work. Good product!

Still gotta do my 4 channel amp this weekend and maybe record it on video for fun.

I'll probably redo my SSF on the DC5K. My box is tuned to 35Hz and I have the SSF set to 31Hz but am thinking about lowering it to 28Hz.

Need to do more research on how low below box tuning I can go.

Overall, the SMD DD-1+ and CC-1 is nice to have if you're into car audio. I hope we can get an affordable SMD SPL Meter in the future. The ones people using now are like $1,000 :(

Usually you dont want to play any lower than 1/2 octave below tuning.

So if your tuned at 35hz, 1 octave lower would be 17.5hz so that would make a 1/2 octave at 26.25hz.

Typically 5-10hz below tuning, but it will vary depending on power, enclosure size, the size of the port, etc.

Love my DD-1+ and CC-1.  I am constantly changing around settings on my 4 channels for fun to change the sound slightly depending.  Love making adjustments to my sub amps using different overlaps dialed in by 0.1 at a time.  =)

I think you would be safe going to 28 Infrasonic

Thanks for the input guys! I'm trying to see if I can get the best out of my XLM2's before I change my subs later this year. Came across an interesting video here:
