box will be bigger once i build one for both...like i said this is a cheap one day box build that i just want to throw my MT in for about a couple weeks untill i get the rest of the build started and figured out. In the end i will have about 5 cubes to each 15" MT after port and sub displacment and about 3000+ wrms

Ok so im not trippin out or anything I always though it was the total "volume" of the port. So then would it be better to have a small and short port tuned to say 38 or a long and wide tuned to 38? Whats the real differance?

Hmm well its one 15" RE MT...its just a temp box for a few weeks... When you say what cuft i want the box, i though you choose the box dimensions, then build the box and port and the box gets its cuft after the port displacment and sub displacment

I will pm him, but either way its the SAME with EVERY calculator i used....ok the outside dimensions are 13.5 H x 36 W x 24 D tunning is say 38 hz...basicaly what is says is i can use a port 12x6x20 or 12x3x4 and get the same tunning, when the second port is 6 times as small.

Ok im planning on building a ported box this weekend. But theres something thats bugging me that i need to have solved. Ok....how come, no matter what port calculator i use, once i enter a hight and width for my slot port, then tunning freq i get a lengh ok....BUT say i want a narower width on my port, so the port should now be longer to keep the same valume as with a wider port right? Worng, it says i need a shorter port... Ex.. this is an example done with the same calc amatt uses, with same box dimensions and tunning 38hz-W=6 H=12 L=12 38hz W=3 H= 12 L =4 I dont get it, the first one has 864" cubed of port, the second has 144....how could the same tuning and the same box have a port 6 times as small but yet still be right? I dont get it and this happend on all port calculators i use

I had a somewhat simillar problem, but it would shut down even befor xp loaded, i found out my front case usb ports wires came loose and were grounded on the case causing my PSU to go into protect. But in your case it sounds like a driver problem man. I know SP2 has all the usb drivers so maybe redownload that from microsoft. Try to get all the orginal Compaq drivers reinstalled with all updates as well....thats all i got for now

A alternator with voltage regulaed at 16v and come kinetik 16v batterys should do the trick. You would have to isolate this charging system from the rest of the car also. I think thats about it lol

The ps3 will be no problem....But now for the ps2 your kinda out of luck Reason being you will need a capture card, and a good one at that. Tha main problem with them is there low real time video qualty, als there real time video delay. There will be a slight lag between your controller repsocne and the screen responce. I treid playing socom with my ADS pro, a very nice capture box, and it was almost imposible to shoot cause i would aim and it wouldent move till a split second later, it got very anoying. So basicaly you can try it, im sure it varys from pc and capture card but even when i had all high end stuff it wasent the best.....But hell the PS3 will look steller!

thanks guys, i was gonna bid on one on ebay, but i decied to save a little more and get the router.

So im tired of cutting holes with my jig saw and them turining out looking like shit, so instead of a big router, i was wonder if this will work http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores...uctId=100057028 it has a 1/4" collet and i would use a spiral up-cut bit for it. So will this work with the included circle jig to make some 6 1/2" rings as well as sub but outs? Or is 5 amps not enough power. Thanks for the help guys

heard some bad stuff about irragi, that there alts are way over rated.

do not do, there are a few reason. 1. unless you have two SETS then wireing them to one channel will give you only a left or right signal making the music sound horible 2. if the amp only have one channel with a load on in and the othr channel just sitting there, it can cause amp damage 3. you actualy get MORE power with 2 x 4ohm then with 2 x 2ohm. If you wire one channel to each side of the compoents they will get 100 watts, thats over power by 30 watts. If wires at 2 ohms parelle on one channel thats only 150 watts, only 5 watts above power, so you would have to set the gains heigher anywaay so basicaly unless you have a totol of 4 woofers, tweets and crossovers, dont do it

just be carful, a lot of cheap wire will label it as "0 gauge" and not as 0 AWG or 1/0 AWG. So that can mean it has a lower strand count. But since it is owned by rf, i would get it
