  1. Well why did the last amp burn up? I'd be more concerned about that before buying another expensive amp. aka investigate the issue so it don't happen again. What's your budget?
  2. One of my 15's is from the yardsale. The issue? Nothing! A little....ok a lot of excessive glue around the spider. But so what. Not gonna be seen. It functions and plays fine. SA is very picky about quality of their product. Oh the sub was 210 shipped to my doorstep. Can't beat that for being dam near new.
  3. Sonic has gone downhill a lot recently. A quick google search will confirm this as well as other people who have dealt with them recently. On another forum, a member on there has stated they shut down one of their warehouses for some unknown reason.
  4. I need to get out of this state. My state of new living? FL! Tryna talk the old lady into moving but I know that's not gonna happen for a long time. Too boring here/nothing to do. Orlando area has so much attractions/outdoor things/rides/water parks...it just seems I'm missing out on all that. Plus the weather is so much warmer there than here. So what's stopping me? Kids....2 of them. 1 will graduate this year the other is in middle school. It's gonna be an absolute life changing thing if we do end up moving.

  5. Wow that sux. Btw...those collets to router bits should be a snug fit.

  6. Wow. I've bought from them many times w/o issues. Even returned an item because it didn't fit. Again, w/o issues. I'm reading more and more people having problems with them. I wonder what got changed, what's going on. Keeping communication with them is the most important key in your situation. I know how frustrating it can be when things get mixed/intertwined in the mix.
  7. Your right. I have seen a lot of both. But...I've been taught and told to keep the mid/tweeter close together as possible. I see more installs this way. So who do I listen to? I think the real question is would it make any difference at all if I were to mount the tweeter just above the already existing speaker location in the door vs. if I were to mount it in the door next to the door handle vs. in the 4x6 opening. I'm not about to cut a bunch of holes in my door panel to find out.
  8. That's a terrible idea. Don't you know that the mid/tweet are to be close together as possible? Thought everyone knew this...
  9. You guys did a awesome job on Brandon's mids/highs install. Looks factory...and very clean looking. Question for ya Steve: have you ever installed mids/tweets in a s10 p/u ext cab before? (I own a '98 s10 ext cab) I might go the route Brandon did with his doors and mount the tweeter just above the 6.5" mid in the door.
  10. Look for some on ebay. I bought a set once and they're not cheap. Bought some for my s10 blazer when I had it.
