isobaric mounting gives you double the moving mass, which lets you build a box half the size for the same output as a single sub. It also helps cancel out nonlinearities in the sub's motor structure for cleaner sound. Drawbacks? well, it takes twice the subs and twice the power for about the same output. THis 320k mp3 shit pisses me off. People say use 320 but use a crappy codec like LAME. A 128k file with a good codec (MP3enc, GoGo, or L3enc) will sound tons better than 320k file encoded with LAME. Just sayin, people. WMA is better if your deck can handle it, AAC even better. WAV > every other format mentioned here, as long as your deck can handle the format. I like FLAC because it's mathematically identical to the CD but smaller than WAV, but nothing plays them.

The most expensive single item in my system now is my Alpine. Had it 8 years and got it on sale $239 I think. One amp drives the whole system, Jensen PS475, $10 used. Soundstream Tarantula coaxials got for $46 shipped from Amazon. RF Punch 1 15" sub, $90 shipped. Add up the cables and the enclosure, I'm up to $450-ish.

Move everything off your usb drive to your computer, format the drive (fat32) then move everything back. Oh, and make sure you use the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon by your clock before you take your drive out. This solves 99% of USB drive problems

Yeah, just update your AV regularly, don't click on those links if you see them, and use Firefox with the NoScript add on and you'll be just fine. BTW I run Microsoft Security Essentials. Best AV I've found. Makes up for IE9 LOL. I also do regular Restore Points and full image backups... just in case wifey installs some toolbar malware or something while playing games.

LOL. Did you even click on the first link? It's just a link warning of some inevitable "Internet Armageddon" that on some certain date some virus will screw up your computer forever. It's just a stupid script that on some date will change your DNS settings so you end up getting forwarded to stupid porn sites. You get infected with this shit (and most other malware) from using IE and happy clicking that message that says "You've been infected with 32 viruses" or "Click OK to continue".
