I would try taking it to a local auto parts store and getting them to check your resting voltage after disconecting the rear battery, if its normal, then it may be your starter, mine started doing that on my tacoma, it would start but it acted like it was weak and didnt wanna turn over the engine. Advance, autozone etc.. should be able to check your starter, alternator, and battery.

If its having trouble starting the car, it may be a bad or going bad starter

For the computer you could maybe use a SRT4 computer out of a totaled SRT4 if u could find one

Yeah definately hook it up in a non important pc, i had a comnputer that just quit working one day thought the power supply went bad, so i bought a brand new 800 dollar computer, hooked up the hard drive and bam computer turned on once, and never worked again. You could also try taking it to the geek squad at best buy or somewhere like that.
