  1. Try wrapping it in a thin cloth glued to the plastic, then coat a thin layer of resin before bondo. You'll have no problems.
  2. Damn man. Drill a 3/8" hole, buy two 3/8 x 2 bolts and run them through. If you have a serious problem with a possibility of it touching metal, then throw some tape over it.
  3. Chuck spoke about this when he visited us in Iraq. Somebody brought up how he was beaten by Bruce Lee, and he said, "This is true. But I'm still alive." EPIC
  4. I think it's easier to work with regular bolts and lock washers. I've never had anything come loose on me and they work great.
  5. I wouldn't worry about the impedance of some regular stainless bolts unless you are going for world records.
  6. Honestly, the difference between similar subs is negligible. You can look at Fi for their displacement and it's almost dead on give or take a few hundredths. SSD~LVL2/3 BL~LVL4 BTL~LVL5 They are close, but not a big enough difference to worry about in your tuning.
  7. Dude I know how it is. At my job I'm supposed to create customs tickets for the shipment of crude oil...well anyways, on the ticket I'm supposed to enter the pressure of the meters. At least twice a week I have to enter 159.9 and it puts a smile on my face.
  8. At 20 years old I signed the enlistment papers and went away. Bought my house and went reservist at 24 and now I'm 26 with a wife and kid. My parents had to move in with me since my dad is working on his residency, but they'll be gone again in June. I worked my ass off, got a degree and a half, put my sweat and blood into a laborer job until the boss hired me on full time. Now I make very good money and can buy all my toys.
  9. Shit man, I'm always rebuilding. I'm never satisfied. I'm waiting to get the equipment before showing off the teaser pics, but it's much bigger.
  10. Oh yes. I'll be joining the lawsuit. I lost my lock actuators, passenger window guides, and somehow a support bolt ripped the steel frame making me unable to roll down the window at all. Both rear view mirrors are fucked and don't work. The driver side one is duct taped so I can see because the mechanisms inside broke. The bass actually ripped off my door grommets too. I have 0 windshield flex.
  11. I can't agree more. Doing what you love will ultimately be the best decision you make. The more work you put forward, the more return you'll get.
  12. This is true. Like I said it only gets a little hairy when you put equations in place of the existing variables, then more in place of those, etc... Just make up little charts and write it all out. I have a notebook dedicated to it. Plus having a math major in my background helps. This is quite simple if you break it down logically.
  13. I have a few lesbian friends who are/are dating butch women. I've gotten the speech about dominance and the speech about compatability. I don't really know what to make of it. I think all lebians should be hot and make videos.
  14. Pretty simple actually. Problems usually arise when you build a shell then try to make port adjustments. A TI-89 is very useful because you can put other equations into the tuning formula in place of the variables so every time you changle something small, like port length, then everything in the equation updates yielding an accurate answer. Most of it is all you. As long as you can understand having 15 equations in one to make things accurate, then you'll be fine.
  15. I suggest getting these: A couple sets of: http://www.jcwhitney.com/ring-type-coil-spring-stabilizer/p2005889.jcwx And a set of: http://www.jcwhitney.com/1000-adjustable-air-spring-sets/p2005927.jcwx I threw them on the back of my PT and got a 3" lift. Now the car sits level haha. There's almost nothing to the install. It took me a few hours with no help and only a few tools.
  16. Dude, it's your money. We can only give you info on the products. We don't know your install skills so we can't tell you how it will sound. If you wanna spend 600 more, then do it. I honestly don't know where the extra 600 comes from, but whatever. I think you're getting screwed by someone.
  17. Please don't post unless you have experience. The LVL3 can take 1000RMS clean power and the MOJO can take a 4K. I know because I've done it.
  18. Yes, that is fine. Tune it to 33-35hZ. That seems to be the best response out of those.
  19. That was Kyle Golden. I don't remember his S/N though...
  20. Damn man, no disrespect to Rusty, but if you're going to save 600 on the Memphis then do it. The MOJOs and DC products are all awesome. I've dealt with both. Do a ported box on that MOJO with some good power to the 1000D and you'll be slammin.
