  1. Im taking baby steps... Getting the gear piece by piece then I will start extending range. I can shoot out to 500yds pretty comfortably so I will try pushing the envelope small steps at a time I dont expect ti become a 1000yd + shooter overnight I hear ya man. I wasn't saying you suck, just giving a scenario from work. Iam glad you are getting into it. I love setting up the targets, hopping in the truck and driving back to the bench or tree or rock.lol Oh I totally understand... What you explained is the same situation as someone who is BRAND new to Audio that sees a big ass system and says HOW do I get that when they have NOT a clue on what goes into major rides etc exactly. Just like audio some people get in over their heads and bleed money to get where they think is loud...

  3. here it depends. The living trust thing may be going away and some county sheriffs wont even consider it. Cumberland county NC has a sheriff is a nazi. He won't allow ANY NFA. Luckily I am in a different county but Fort Bragg is IN Comberland county.lol.
  4. I have people come in all the time asking about rifles that can hit a gong at 1,000+ meters and the first thing I as is if they are a "1,000 meter shooter". I don't work on commission and try my damnedest to talk people out of getting something they don't know how to use. We have people (me included) who are capable of engaging targets out past 1km and we have on occasion given classes to folks with a real interest and are willing to throw away everything they learned on youtube.lol
  5. I hated them for a long time because people were trying to kill me with them. Now, I see them as a cost effective bad ass semi-auto rifle.
  6. hell yeah man. I am eying a WASR 10 at work. I was looking at scraping for an Izhmash but I still can't justify it.lol I almost grabbed a Romy from a buddy but we couldn't come to an agreement...
  7. diggin that stock! I have a few 10/22's at work and I am about to grab one, lowest end, to do something like that
  8. ^^ oh yeah. We have a shit load at the shop. The good thing is they are within reason again. The bad thing is there are OCC type "manufacturers" everywhere now who stuffed junk parts into their AR's and sold them at a premium. We get them all the time for the 'smith to work on or rebuild them...
  9. I wouldn't put it in an oven. It will stick no matter what because the adhesive is top notch. A heat gun or hair drier may be need to help you mold it onto complex shapes ore weird areas. I have put damp pro in all of my cars in all kinds of weather. The only issue I ran into was not drying a part of the floor on my Z28...
  10. had a guy come into the shop today with a 1903 Springfield that his dad got from the NRA. It had a stamp on the stock marked 1910! He hadn't fired it in 50 years and wanted us to ensure it was able to be fired. It has the original sling! Aside from a shit ton of dust and dirt the thing is PERFECT! Made my fucking day!
  11. I am REALLY interested in this amps numbers. It's a unique look and if it does at least rated I might be in the market for one...
  12. Get to it. My advise is to just do it. I understand some people are worried about ruining their car but I love going balls out when I have a chance.
  13. over the next few days I am going to consolidate everything I am going to get rid of and post it in the "non car audio" for sale section. Gonna be a prepper's paradise!lol
