I'm not going to get into the details, the manual tells you exactly what to do. http://www.wccaraudio.com/media/pdfs/Distortion_Detector_DD-1_Ver._1.pdf -
That won't work beings he said his HPF only goes to 300hz I'd cross them at about 4k. Look online for a capacitor guide for crossover points then put one inline and replace the scoshe ones you have now. Yes it will since if you read the original post completely instead of trying to discredit my response immediately you would realize he is running Scosche HPFs and just doesn't believe they are working well enough. Chill. When you said "dial it in" I just took it as you referring to his amps onboard crossover, which he said doesn't go that high. I'm sure the specs of the crossovers he has can be found online but with 8ohm tweeters connected, the numbers would be inaccurate. As far as discrediting you, I disagree with playing tones to get within 50hz. I'd rather just get the exact cap I need and call it a day. Maybe it's just me but for a tweeter a 50hz window is a lot. You can BP them but it's not necessary. I'd just use the HPF on the amp, set it around 80hz and be done.

Isn't that generally the scenario with home or pro audio applications where there's both a tweeter and super tweeter? I know the specs on the st200's show the freq response is about the same as a normal tweeter. I have a pair of the same tweets, they're good crossed at around 4-5k depending on slope.

Kids these days..
SmallTruk replied to nautical7's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
If the kids get busted it'll be by the school/police, this woman is far too nice to file charges. The comments obviously hurt her but I'm pretty certain that having a whole nation back you up must put a smile on her face at least a little bit. And if it doesn't then the almost half a million that's been raised surely will. I'm thinking these kids are going to be the targets of bullies themselves for quite awhile. Everyone that knows about the situation will want to express their personal thoughts and feelings. With or without legitimate punishment, theyre in for some shit coming their way. -

The local police dept has one of the kids phones in custody and said that in a day it had over 1000 missed calls and texts of death threats. The families of each kid have received death threats, even a call to the police claiming one of the families had been taken hostage. I'm pretty certain that with or without the kids being prosecuted that they're gonna remember this. Having a nation against you and wanting to kill your family probably is something thatll keep them from acting like douches again. Hopefully. And going from $15k a year to a nice $320k+ lump sum....that lady is gonna be enjoying retirement -

Sad. Kids these days get away with too much shit. Too many lazy fckn parents that think school is where kids are to learn right from wrong. -
Uhm...an internal fuse is a fuse that sticks out of the side of your amp. Your AQ2200 does not have that. It needs a fuse within 18" of its power wire. To the OP your Hifonics amp is the same. It needs a fuse within 18" of it's power wire. Probably a 200 amp. Uhm.....no its not. Go look at some USAmps for example, they have internal fusing that requires you to remove part of the casing to access them since no part of the fuse is accessible outside the case. Hence the "internal" part.

Reminder: fuse EVERYTHING

What caused it to ground out? -
The harder you try the farther she's gonna go. You already realized you fucked things up and need to work on you, focus on that. If she sees it and comes back then be thankful and don't screw shit up again. If she doesn't come back then just live and learn and make sure you don't go back to the jackass you used to be with the next girl or you'll just go thru it all again. Either way I wish you luck. Relationships are a huge pain in the ass, gotta make sure shit is inline from the beginning or you're just gonna be in for a shit storm in the long run. Gotta remember....chicks like to bring up the past. You can be a better person now but the old gfs will never forget the jackass you used to be. Sometimes starting fresh ain't so bad...

I think it might absorb water being in the doors and get smelly, it doesn't look like a closed cell foam

i used epoxy on a set of #10 tnuts once. worked good till one stripped then it was a bitch to get out
-
Sometimes they strip. Usually it's having them pop out of the wood after putting too much pressure against the bolt before its completely tight. Then the damn things just spin till they can grab again.
-
I used grade 5 bolts and lock nuts to mount the SP4 in my 4th order bp box. As far as tnuts go, I'm not a fan of them unless they're 1/4" or bigger. The smaller ones always give me problems

What dose that mean? Not up to speed on some things lol.Yea I left the door open.I am awaiting for my account to close on that forum.Almost makes not to want to brows other areas for build ideas or whats going on elsewhere. You went on and on, he just wanted the main points to it all. Probably has something to do with your space bar and Return key being partially inoperable.
