  1. Will purchases of the D3100 be for the new one with the handles instead of the strap?
  2. If you are doing all the crossovers at your head unit, you just want to pretty much have everything full pass on the amps.
  3. Yea, I it won't come up for me either, could be just real busy.
  4. If you look closely at the crossover, it shows the position of the button. Out is 12db, In is 24db.
  5. Never feel stupid for asking for help. Sometimes it takes more than one head to think things through. Glad you figured it out!!
  6. On your filters, you multiply your frequency setting x1 or x10 depending on whether the button is pushed in or not. So if you have your crossover set at 60hz x1 its set at 60hz. If you have it set at 60hz x10 its set at 600hz. The 12db / 24db is your crossover slope, how quick it cuts out the frequencies. Just google "crossover slope" and you will get good definitions on that one. Hope that helps.
  7. Take your multimeter, with the engine running at idle, connect the negative lead to ground and your positive lead to the Alternators Positive output, what do you get? Then do the same measurement at about 2000 engine rpms. If you have low voltage at idle and normal charging voltage at 2000 rpms, your Alternator is not charging at idle or low rpms. Something to try....
  8. Audacity. Use "Plot Spectrum" tool in the Analyze menu.
  9. I like dowels between all sides and then bond them together in the center somewhere.
  10. The manual doesn't mention it at all, so I'd guess that it is not. You should be able to strap them with a Maxxlink though.
  11. Also with the Media Outlets we have now, you are just being more exposed to the nasty shit that has already been there.
  12. This is going back 20 years, but I'm pretty sure my Linear Power 3002 had 4awg power connections.
  13. Do yourself a favor and invest in an oscope, or if you know someone that has one, ask them to help you set your gains. In the Videos section, Steve did some great video tutorials on setting your gains. You should go view them.
  14. Very easy to tell the difference. Stranded is what they use for patch cables and they are very flexible. Solid strand is only used for premise wiring meaning in the walls, ceiling and floors of a building. It will have a firm PVC or Plenum outer jacket. If you bend it, it will stay that shape for the most part. I'm actually surprised a Cisco class wouldn't teach you that.
  15. Damn dude!! That poor truck is going to start falling apart!! Looks great, always stepping it up a notch.
  16. Jacob, would these fit my 15" Nightshades? These have the one off copper voice coils. if they do fit, would it change anything with the T/S specs that I would need to worry about?
  17. The maxima has a good alt, but it also has a lot of accessories. You will have to watch the voltage while playng it. If it drops below 12 he will have problems.
  18. Its true, when I was younger, I would listen to bass with no ringing afterwards. If I jammed some rock or metal, ears would ring afterwards, just like after a rock concert. And Mick is right, shit is permenant. My ears ring constantly, sometimes worse than others, but if the room is real quiet, I can hear the ringing.
  19. Yea, you need to disassociate from that bum. Sounds like nothing but trouble.
