    uh its because your head unit is clipping. set your amp up to not have to turn it up so far.

    make sure you dont have as much as a single strand of wire touching someplace its not supposed to. ive seen it before.

    depends on your port length really. Ive only seen issues when the woofer closest to the port wall is along ways away from the port ending. so if its an L port the woofer closest to the port face may have issues.

    The cost of Ferrite production in the states is astronomical. I believe that all Ferrite produced for subwooferes is imported. Either that or cost would be much higher.

    RCAs will have no impact on this. its a mono signal speaker wire will make no difference either. it was out of phase.
