at least someone paid attention in math class.
the way i look at the battery power debate is. at what point do I think I'm ok? At that point I add one more. In my case I thought I would need 6. So ended up wtih 8. I cant have odd numbers.
You can get an ak for about half that if you really want. Im not much of an ak fan. You can do a lot of ar-15s in that range as well. look into a colt 6920. It will be right around that 1000 mark. other good brands that you can do for that much are
stag
rock river arms
spikes tactical
bravo company usa
anything from them should do you well. Of course there are other companies as well.
be warned. Once you have an ar you will want two. you will want to change all kinds of stuff. especially after you do one thing to it and realize how easy they are to work on.
I bought my first one and im building my second.
Exactly there is no best. Its all preference. Ive been working with mdf so long I pretty much know it. I do not like the amount of saw dust or the fact that it a sheet weighs more than my wife but I have a soft spot for it
And no tony. you can not have pics of the wife. She's white you wouldnt like her.
You guys really like that look? Its far easier than you guys realize. The hardest part would be accounting for the width of the carpet. id imagine its like an1/8 all around. its harder to countersink the port than it is to carpet like that.
Think if it this way. Its just a countersank side panel thats covered before its put in.
He makes all the tops bottoms backs and fronts 3/4 of an inch longer and then makes a second side panel that fits inside that. He carpets them seperately. A much easier way than doing it in one piece.
