IIRC from one of Steve's hoopty vids Outlaw is with the passenger door open and the TermLab in the kick I'm not sure about the windows. Doug has a little tool he uses that he places touching the a-pillar and the dash like an L and then a little slot where he puts the sticker for proper mic placement

you should connect the remote turn on to the positive of your amp to see that your actual meter is still working. IMO you should leave it that way so you can see before you turn the car on if anything is wrong with your batteries and what they sit at.

I was going to post something but then I realized I don't bassrace/dbdrag a 160 so I stayed out of it. if anyone is bass racing a 160 I almost doubt that they are going to share secrets of how to get there. lots of experience and multiple box builds would be the key to see what is most efficient for each woofer. ...lots of cone area helps too

just the other day I saw a guy with 2 10's in a single cab that had aeros outside the box pointing up that looked pretty cool. as long as you tune it to 29 like smokey said then it shouldn't really matter what type of port you use. you said aeros are more efficient so try them if you don't like them then you can always build a new box thats the fun of car audio

facing the sub and the port to the back seat moves a lot of air and if you seal it form the back keeps the license plate from rattling so bad

lately I have heard a lot of systems with mid 30's tuning that can smash just about anything. C&S becomes difficult. these systems have all been 18's as well

I have a weird feeling that wouldn't sound good. maybe if you put some second skin over that aluminum but if you are big on numbers don't do shag because I think it was jack that was telling me that air gets trapped in fibers like that and takes away tenths of a decibel. the blue velvet would be pretty sick I've always liked the look of suede...

honestly in a car like that I don't see the point of metering on the headrest. drew you would basically be doing port wars if yours was on the headrest. 99vic the one thing I seem to take away from people using DD is it seems more of a burp sub to me like a one note wonder type of small gap between motor and vc type of SPL sub. my opinion means nothing though since I have never owned one just something I have gathered.

Specs Options smokeumtires is running a RF t3000 to each of his 18" BTL's and it slams. may be out of your ball park for cost... my friend had a hifonics amp and said the thing barely ever got warm running 4 12's. he switched to sundown and likes sundown even more
