  1. I like the loud with less. and when you can fit more than you would think in a small space.
  2. this question is like saying i have a gun, what kind of ammo do i need... you gotta give out some specifics if you want good answers
  3. you may be about to just pop the pins out of the door hinges,
  4. Correction: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/19108-2-rockford-xlc-18s-rockford-amps-more-old-civic-pics/ That looks like a TRUNK to me.... my bad. ive never seen that one. but still if you wanna do 2 18s and get it full potential dont put it in the trunk. did you also see how that thread said 2 6" ports? I used 2 8" ports for 1 18.
  5. Why not post this in the same thread you posted the problem in?? instead of making this
  6. I had 2 L7s 15's back there in roughly 8.2 cu ft after bracing and subs..... With ample room, I would just have to capitalize on the trunk, thats why I'm curious how people go about building a box from the inside, out. I was thinking I could go along with the trunk contours and max out space and atleast get 10-11 cu ft which should be enough to have them slammin the shit of my import. Pics...
  7. 2 18s in a trunk?? um... youll be lucky to fit 2 15s. Its not always that your trunk has the volume, but that you can actually mount the subs and the port in a direction that will work.
  8. for a 71 elcamino... damn.. i only know about sound deadener for 72 and up models.. sorry
  9. I saw the 4 channel a while back. looked like it would be fun to play with,
  10. Ive heard nothing abotu a major big time virus out there lately. I also heard that they were doing an upgrade and it crashed so they are rebuilding manually. I dont know about you guys but ill stay off that site. They cant even keep a proper back up. just what i read on caraudio.
  11. something about upgrading to fight a virus i think, I heard it was suppose to be back up tuesday, but its still down
  12. go on ebay, hit search. its not too terribly hard I think a 50 ft kicker spool is 150 or 160,
  13. I got 2 from walmart at this price on one of there sales. awesome deal.
  14. Sucks he left, but the truck got into the 60s now
  15. and all the newbs stop bringin up the 8s doing 50s, yea its good, but it was not for a daily setup. and the sub will not take that power daily,
  16. there is a crx with 2 SA-8s that does 150.xx on a 3500 What's his box tuned to? Keep in mind I plan to run this power daily and play lows. im not sure what the box was tuned to but when it did the 50 i think it was at 51hz iirc i know your planning a daily system i was just proving a point Power does not blow speakers, CLIPPING does fixed for you ^^ you knew what i meant go plug your door speakers to a 3k amp, then say power doesnt blow speakers, theres is so much bad info running around on here from alot of recent newbs posting what they think is right to other newbs..
  17. I dont think you have the space, but 10 of the hfi 12s will sound good, but... if you ever get on a meter youll be disappointed. ive done a few setups with them and they sounded great, got really low, but didnt meter high. if your looking to save money i would just browse the forsale section for a while till something pops up that you like. oh and if you get the hfi subs, right when you bet them, go ahead a break of the black plastic piece covering up the magnet. if you dont youll here a buzz when any bass around 65 to 70hz plays,
  18. out of the 2 i would say L5s just cuz i like them, but the type r's will probably sound better and have a bit more cone area. prepare for the should get dc's....hah
  19. some info is on the first post in here. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/86033-sundown-sa-15-pre-order/page__hl__sa15 other than that, you havent given enough info
  20. This Big 3 will do wonders, Then a good battery under the hood.
  21. yea, and a smaller box and port to keep control of over the subs with higher power, and the gains set right with no clipping. I would stick to the rated power and the nominal size box, it will save you money on and amp and that batt and wire money. depending on the ohm option the subs are i would do 2 sae1200ds or an saz2500 or used saz3k, or even 2 of the saz1500s, sundownz has some used ones forsale from hanks truck for 375 each
