  1. AQ gets my vote just because the RE isnt certified. that might mean nothing but nothing else pops out at me.
  2. i would love to see a video of an XS battery taken apart next to another brand, like kinetik, and show us the differences.
  3. and thats why i always wipe the seat at a public bathroom lol
  4. the alt is keeping the amp safe by keeping voltage up. unless you had a SERIOUS voltage problem before, its not likely to make an audible difference. however with a bigger alt, you can get a bigger amp. that will make a difference.
  5. 1st thing that popped into my head was "it's so angry!" from the movie waiting. looks killer man. you just get it set up?
  6. last question for you Jon. over spray. if/when this stuff gets on my driveway, can i just hose it off?
  7. while we are talking about spectrum, what should we do to prep the surface? like I'm going to spray under the car when I get a chance. do i need to wipe everything down? is spraying off loose dirt good enough?
  8. deadener will need to go on first. i dont believe anything sticks well to spectrum. spectrum can be enough or it could be too little. it all depends on what you need. remember it is made to be more of an undercoating.
  9. How exactly would I install the wire from the positive terminal to the fuse box? well, for my car i have a big bolt on the fuse box for the + wire. i just added a wire to it.
  10. my big 4 included a wire from battery + to my fuse box. figured i would help get some power to my car, and it was needed.
  11. just put some bengay on em man, it'll make it all better hahahahaha thats like beating off with aftershave do you beat off with aftershave and bengay to know they are the same? check for cancer while you are down there. put your GF's scrunchy on your balls as a shock absorber for your swimmers.
  12. if its the cone, sure epoxy. if its the surround then use silicone. dont use epoxy on the surround...
  13. I had a P1. Its a plastic cone. Even worse. Rockford Fosgate P1 15" are the first in a series of world famous subwoofers called "The Punch". During their inception in the 1980's, they quickly became "The Woofer of Choice" for fanatic car audio systems, with a continued tradition today. Kevlar fiber reinforced paper cones deliver bass impact you can feel, and our VAST technology increases surface cone area up to 25%. Best in standard sealed and vented enclosures. Includes soft touch ABS tri trim ring.
  14. what punch sub is it? p1 p2 p3? and they have paper cones as well so tell him he is a dumb ass. oh, and tell him to get his own system and not brag about something he has nothing to do with.
  15. that is exactly why I do it. so you dont have to take the subs out if you want to change nominal load. and you are correct, you wouldnt have to cut wires if you did direct leads. if you take the box out, you would take the subs out 1st rite? lol. and if you want to change ohm load you just leave enough slack to be able to get the subs out of the box and disconnect them.
  16. lol texas could be closer.
  17. no shit? i always thought that was the mic picking up panels rattling or something. i just learned something
  18. yep. i use a -6db tone. i learned that from Ray.
  19. who burnt their coils 4 times? ever think if the same person keeps burning subs... it could be the user? It was alpine who burnt them up.... I edited my first post because I didn't want to trash talk to much ...... I found it odd that skittles didn't even know his teammate went through re cones like he did. I witnessed him do it 3 times myself uhh... he never burnt a coil, MAYBE once, i wasn't at that show. he ripped a couple triple joints. i dont know how you could have been there each time. one was in Tennessee, and I was there. and one time was because of bad glue from DC and im pretty sure it failed in testing, not at a show. plus he had a 12k on them lol. they SHOULD be failing with that much power lol. trust me, i know more about my best friend's system than you do.
  20. who burnt their coils 4 times? ever think if the same person keeps burning subs... it could be the user?
  21. i forget where exactly. remember that most competitors are closer to the east coast. having finals in cali would mean that the vast majority of competitors would have to travel across country. and when almost no one hear would make that same drive, we cant expect them to do it just so we have it close to us. put it in the midwest, 1-2 days drive for everyone. thats fair. but dont be surprised if its closer to more competitors. we are bigger than any one state, not bigger than all of them.
