    you need to measure output voltage and amperage at the amp. so you need a DMM and a clamp meter.

    ah, teamht said everything i was too lazy to lol. you can use cloth on a pod but it will probably have a lot of sharp corners and contours so mat will be easier. plus, you dont want pods to resonate, they will sound like shit. make them like bricks.

    mat has strands going in every direction, known as chopped mat. cloth is bi axial. so it only has strands going 2 directions.

    if that unit senses the parking brake ground when its turned on, it will lock you out of all that stuff. people usually use a relay, turned on by the remote wire. that is enough of a delay to work. or since you have the switch, turn it off before turning the hu on. then flip the switch. see if that works.
