ive had some pioneer coaxials in back for years given them anything from 50w-150w no problems. i had the 720PRS in front for over a year and they got 3x rated power and didnt complain. so its not that pioneer sucks. what is your HPF set to? why get 4 more cheapy speakers instead of one set that will actually perform the way you want? if you just get 6.5" mids then you will need a crossover to tell them to play in the correct range, ie. 80hz-4000hz any of these will rock

no, they really shouldnt be used together. i mean you could do that, and it would help, but... they just dont work well together.

im going to disagree on the second alt. unless its full tilt for the whole commute lol. i think the one 250amp alt and two g31's like you said should do just fine. 2 runs of 1/0awg. i had two 1500's at .5ohm and an alpine pdx150.4 on my 270amp alt, g34 yellow top, and two G31's and i stayed above 13.5v if i remember correctly.

Im looking for what wire brands are better so i can know whatever i throw at it, it can hold up. Wire is wire. One brand doesn't differ from another. It just matters how many strands are in it. Some brands like boss say their wire is 4 gauge when it.only has enough strands to be 8 gauge. Knukonceptz is a great wire brand I would suggest looking at them unless one company uses thicker strands. the strand count wont tell you the overall diameter of the wire. and of course there is OFC and the tinned crap. A little overkill? I don't see any need for 1/0 for less than 500 watts. Quality 4gauge can support upto ~120amps. Some people really make me wonder. apparently you didnt read his comment. "that will leave you room to grow" and its an accurate comment seeing as how the OP said he wanted to upgrade everything later. OP, a 4 channel amp is "stereo" not "mono". if you have a full signal from the HU with left and right RCAs running to the amp then one channel will get more power than another at times depending on if the sound should be coming from the left or right of center. of course if you have a "sub output" on the HU it wont matter.

no, but you can look up the size of your battery then look on kinetiks website for one of the same dimensions. if you have a GM car with the battery clamp on the bottom, none of the kinetiks have the lip for that so you need another way to hold them down.

just pull, yank that fucker out. maybe some WD40 will help. just be sure to clean it out after.

1st off. nothing from walmart is good enough lol. you dont want to mix wet cell batteries with dry cells. replace the front battery with a kinetik battery if thats whats going in the back. try to keep all the batteries the same brand.

check polarity of all the speakers. check the HPF setting, should be around 70-80hz. non-hardening modeling clay works very well to seal the baffle you made. just put it around the outside of the ring/baffle. what speakers do you have? i see orions in your sig but what model? and 2 in each door in the stock location? i thought it might be another car your talking about.

do you have a second battery in the back?

i searched for them a while back and i didnt find anything too interesting. some companies make very small computers and sell software for running it in a car but, if i remember correctly, they were over $800. you could go on newegg.com and get a mini motherboard and build your own. just remember to get a SSD HD. itll hold up to the bass a lot better.

there wont be any open holes. you can either get lucky enough to find one you can squeeze a wire through or you have to make your own. if you make your own be sure to use a grommet to protect the wire. the metal will wear away at the wire eventually. when you drill the hole, it wont come out exactly where it looks like it will. it always seems higher up on the engine side than i thought it would be. just pick a place with room on all sides. you might be able to use a punch and hammer to make a small dent in the firewall then feel around the other side to see if its in a good place. never tried that though.

i cant visualize what your trying to describe. are you trying to cut port length? are you putting a port in between the subs so they will be in their own chambers? maybe you should make a pic. and when you list dimensions dont change the order, or if you do, list L W H: 3w x 5h - 5x3. makes it very confusing.

no offense but that REALLY sounds like user error. i bet you were clipping to a full square wave. i say quality woofers dont talk about "max" power. same goes for amps.

umm... if you were talking to me then you seriously misunderstood my comment. i have no idea what amp you will be running and it doesnt matter. there are a ton of factors to your amps output, such as; recording level of the song, the fact that music is dynamic, impedance rise, "amplitude" of the bass notes, etc. im happy to get 2000-2500w out of my 3000w amp.
