  1. i have a brand new still in the box power acoustic b.a.m.f 4000 watt amp(3 40 amp fuse say it will only do@1600watts) i bought it to use with my old sundowns and got a hifonics 2500. im asking $150.00 plus fees&shipping my zip is 61462 i dont send anything with out inc. amp has never been hooked up or mounted still has the static cling film on it
  2. if you are set up right you should murder him and his 2100 watts....lol (biggest fuse rating i have seen on there 5k is 5 30 amps 2100watts max...lmao) will be a cooler story when you add you whooped his shit talking ass...
  3. i have seen video of this sub pared with the power acoustic B.A.M.F 4k and ppl had nothing but good things to say about both...(i wouldn't but a p.a sub but that's me) i think you should be ok it looks like that amp will put out 2100 watts fuse's X voltage 5 30ampsx14 =2100 ...so it can NOT do its rated 5k but should push those subs nicely...i would have to agree with every1 else and say you could get a better quality sub for that money but be sure to get what makes YOU happy
  4. the string trick works or you can cut the old belt to where you want it then drill a hole at each end the use a peice of thick 1 starnd wire and link the 2...just be sure to twist the wire opposite side of the pully on the belt...works for me when i dont wanna drive 30 mins to get a belt
  5. Yea, if I can manage to make it fit I think I'm going to go with 2 lvl 4 15s with 5 parts if it'll fit. that may be a tight sqeeze make sure you have at least 18" wall to seat so they will fit wth a box and that ur at least 33"wide and you can make up box size by goin taller
  6. my brother had 3 12"s in a 07 ranger ext cab it hit pretty good and didnt have to cut anything.... i do know if you fire the subs at the floor wth a spacer so the subs dont hit the floor board it seems to hit best i think his sounded best with the 2 hifoincs brutus 12"S on a brz 1600 in a slot ported Bbox myself he liked the 3 kenwood 12"S tho..lol shouldnt be to bad u just have to lean the pass seat all the way up to get a box in there
  7. no it was working correctly before any of this happened. so its got to be the deck or amp. which are both stupid expensive yea it may have been working...but you just moved everything around right? you could have snagged a rca or moved it and got a noise...or be grounding that amp....i just sparked one of my rcas the other day and my stuff still sounds good...not saying u didnt fudge any thing up ...just trying to help you make sure to check everything before you spend money...i thought i was the only 1 that had done the spark the rca thing tho...lol
  8. also make sure the Rcas are not near any power wires...and what is your amp mounted 2? if the body makes a ground the make funny noise's ...hope its nothing expensive ...good luck man
  9. copied from sundowns site ..... 1.75 ft^3 ported tuned to 30 Hz -- F3 of 26 Hz * Tune higher and use a smaller box for more SPL oriented setup (Use 1 - 1.5 cubes) * Enclosure can be as big as 2.25 ft^3 with lower power levels 1.00 ft^3 sealed -- F3 of 44 Hz * For SQ and space limited applications
  10. you could do that but it will be tricky tuning it and if you took out the 6x9s u may be getting close to enough fresh air and wont need to mutilate ur trunk vents
  11. thats not gonna work man...lmao it reqiures so much airspace other wise its like setting a brick on ur sub and turning it up...do what you want but i would get that sub some more air space ...there should be some vents in the trunk on both sides near the wheels and bumper on the floor..i would yank those out to create some kind of breathing tube for that sub ...lmao not to mention ur gonna murder ur 6x9s
  12. not bad for a first build...looks like mine and i have built 10 or so...lol but i really hope u use it with the back seat down or you gonna cook that sub with no airspace or cool fresh air
  13. wow im not sure on the tuning but thats pretty cool i was joking with my buddy about stuffing this extra 18" i have in my 03 grand am gt....did u build the box in the car or remove the rear seats and slip it in? u have any pics?
  14. its not recommended & i would bet you blow the box... those things pack a nice punch good luck tho
  15. If I put 2 18's in 11 cubic feet (maybe 12) it would still sound better then 2 15s right? or no? (I really want 2 18's but if the 15's sound better I guess I have to get them) i have 1 of mine in @7.2 cuft and it loves it get the fully loaded BL 18"s and you will be the happiest guy where u live...lol
  16. i have my Fi bl in @7.2 cubes @28hz ant it loves it... Fi BL calls for 5-8cuft each i would give them at least 6 cubes each tho...im gonna do a wall in my cargo are soon planing on 12 cubes @30-32hz
  17. yes your truck should have air ride suspension on it (according to all data) and if your hearing a buzzing noise coming from the rear sturt/shock it could be a noisy fuel pump or the air ride...you should not be able to hear it run while the car is not moving...you may have a leaking shock/strut ....does the pump run all the time? is the truck setting to high? is it level? and do you have a code set...i.e dummie light on?
  18. you could try 8"s or 10"s but why not just get a bigger and to feed ur subs the power they need? but airspace does play a big part of #s ....i would play with box designs as well ...but all that really matters is that YOU are happy with YOUR system.. and a 136 isn't to bad i couldn't get past 138 till i stopped buying prefab box,s...and why couldn't u fit 18"Sin ur bed? im sure its at least 20" deep u would have to d a blow thro tho
  19. make sure u fuse all batts @ the positive connection, and the more grounds you have (strut towers, body, seat belt....etc ) are gonna help truthfully that 2400 should laugh @1500 watts grounds dont need to be fused tho
