you're gonna need to get gas eventually. one day wont matter. what WILL make more of a difference than a one day strike is if EVERYONE (or just a fuckinghelluvalot of people) stopped buying gas from the gas moguls (sp). like exxon or mobile altogether. they'd be forced to lower prices, and others would be forced to follow. or so the theory goes. but i dont buy into this one day thing.

if your kicker is a 2 ohm dual voice coil sub, wiring just that 1 sub to your amp will give you either a 1 ohm load, or 4 ohm load. 1 ohm load wired in parallel, or a 4 ohm load wired in series. a 1 ohm dual voice coil sub will give you a .5 ohm load wired in parallel, or 2 ohm load wired in series. 4 ohm dual voice coil sub will give you a 2 ohm load wired in parallel, or 8 ohm load wired in series. see the pattern that follows?

fitting an 18" in there doesnt necessarily mean it'll sound better than a 15 or a pair of 12's. but doesnt mean it wont sound better either.

if you want to run em at .5 ohms, that's your best bet. those amps can be run at .5 ohms daily with no modification. just have a good electrical, which looks like you have under control, maybe a few more batts. otherwise you're gonna need 2 amps that are between 2-4k watts RMS @ 1 ohm (depending on the options you got...which i'm sure is fully loaded)

i'd run a bead of caulk along the edges and all if you're going to do 45's. the resin will seal it, yeah, but if you have a big enough hole (which doesnt really need to be that big), the resin will possibly seep through. the 45's do little to no help with output when building the box really tho. it's been in a couple topics. one was a recent one. spray the resin afterwards. if you paint the port, and you use plain resin, you'll be able to see the black, but it wont be as nice and glossy/solid black. it'll have a transparent lookin cover over top of it.
