  1. because not everyone knows what you do not being a smart ass...being serious lol. imo it's a safer to have that than to have people blindy make port area and hope it works. i've seen people ask me about boxes that had 5 sq inches or less for big boxes. and no matter what i think that just won't work
  2. no no no...that's completely wrong. work on the sketchup skillzz hardcore till something looks like something first, then upload the pictures hahaha sorry
  3. yep. surface area of the port is port area. 5 x 20, 4 x 25, 8 x 12.5, etc. and not to contradict what ed said...but a 16 cube wall...with only 100 sq inches of port? that's 6.25 sq inches per foot. sounds awfully tiny to me. you sure you read what he meant right? just curious in case you overlooked something
  4. not quite that easy. sectioning off the squares is the easy part. doing the triangle part of the box with the angled wood is where the precision comes in. since the wood is at an angle, the measurement of where that meets the flat part of the box is not quite .75" thick, and depending on how much of an angle there is will depend on how thick the two corners are, changing the volume ever so slightly. keyword there is *slightly* tho. our measurements were very very close
  5. not only that...pretty sure the ROE files aren't clipped. so downloading the same file won't 'maybe' make it clip...same file every time lol.
  6. I'd be really skeptical of "4500rms" for only $650... you must not have ever heard of stetsom then
  7. i was skeptical of the paint at first. i mean it looked good, but on the caddy i wasn't sure. i think one of the other pics threw me off. but now that it's painted and done...holy hell! looks fantastic. and those wheels look amazing on there, i wanna have sex with them
  8. i came up with 18.78 cubes with .75" wood. with 1.5" wood, i got 16.19 cubes. so yeah, very close
  9. hell or maybe i'll just win auctions for more bids and just add a big ass stock pile of bids and keep bidding till i get a good item haha
  10. i've been a member there for a while. did a small buy in, won some auctions for more bids, but no real items yet. it's tricky, gotta watch how many people are there bidding at once and what the item could go for. they have some how-to tips, but you gotta spend a lot of time staring at an auction or it could slip right by you. happened to me a couple times. they said you should be ready to spend xx% of the amount of the full price or don't plan on winning the item, basically. i haven't been there in a while, lost steam to me. might go waste some bids tho, i think i still have like 30-40 left haha
  11. off topic...what day you going to carl casper? both? i'm probably aiming for sunday since it's easier to get off work. just wanna meet some members and check out your truck
  12. amen brotha! i tip more since i've been serving at a restaurant. i am also critical and tip on the level of service as well. so to the person who only doubles tax or does a dollar or two to deliver drivers... thank you I don't believe tips on cards count towards taxes, least we don't count them at the end of the night on our totals made. yes they do. reason being is you're supposed to claim 100% of your tips at the end of the night when you clock out. but...in every serving job i've had it's at least 10% (not officially...but they say to claim at least that) so when you leave a tip on a card, the server is forced to claim that. so if my sales are 500 bucks, it's normal to claim a little more than $50 even tho i may make 100. but if everyone leaves a tip on their card, then at the end of the night i may have to claim 100. so i'm getting taxed on the other $50. that's how it works 'round these parts at least. thank you lol
  13. i spy white shag carpet i had that on my headliner in my old explorer lol. box looks good tho
  14. very very nice work. love the way you did the port opening. at first i was like wtf is this guy doing?? that opening doesn't extend to the edge of the box. then saw more pics haha. i like the red stitching on the doors as wel
  15. ^^lamers lol. i laughed hard at this. then showed all my bff's. i went to work at 4 pm, it's 1 am now and it's still on my browser so i can watch it every so often haha
  16. look up groundpounder2k2's dash build in his section. did a dash to a pickup and it is the craziest dash build i've ever seen
  17. some looked good, some...not so much. i'd say stay away from trying to paint your own stuff on like the window tint. doesn't look normal at all. especially the half black truck. the cars in motion you added the headlight gleam to em? those looked pretty good
  18. call me crazy, but even with an external port i would still consider a slot port unless it had 4 independent walls. but that's just me
  19. there was one similar to this taken of a city, but you could zoom in on any spot SUPER close. it was pretty amazing really. i'll try to find it if i can EDIT: this is similar to what i was talking about http://www.harlem-13-gigapixels.com/ there's a van that you cant even see on the pic. i zoomed in and could read its license plate
  20. ^^right. internal volume for subs is not the only factor to take into account when looking at an enclosure. just because it'll fit does not mean that it'll sound good or be loud
  21. Thank-you sir to be honest I thought I would get flamed on for it .. o ya and that box is a product of your cal....
  22. i missed this whole build. but i'm glad it got bumped because it's awesome looking. i like that lit up amp rack as well. very nice work
