    or its because your running them in a sealed box, and your friend tuned your amp incorrectly, so your actually clipping the shit out of your subs. and the only way they sound decent is when your volume is 1/5th of the way up. maybe? not trying to sound like a dick, but did your friend tune your amp with an o-scope?
