  2. No thanks. I did that on my jimmy, and it was ok for that vehicle, but I actually like the acura Thanks for all the resposes. The vehicle is black, so it will stand out bad im afraid.. Its got LOTS of door dings
  3. Hey guys, I just bought a car as a toy (1998 acura rl) and its got some moderate damage.. Needs a hood and a fender.. Ive found a good used hood and fender, in a diff color than the car. So I went to maaco to see about getting the parts installed, and the whole car painted. They recommended (due to the age, miles, and what I wanted out of the car) I get the 2 big creases fixed, but not to worry about the door dings basically. My basic question is this- will the new paint job "hide" or draw attention away from the remaining dings, or will they just stand out more? Im not trying to win shows here, but I want the car to look presentable. Thanks for any help
  4. Uh.. Id love to get my diamonds reworked, but im not paying you to "hone your soldering skills".. Thats a scary phrase
  5. I bought an mb quart onx1500 from someone who had did this.. Fried the protection diode. Cost 40 bucks to get it fixed... Hopefully your hifo has the same setup
  6. I have like 5 of them laying around. Yes i like them. In a lot of cars they can block the ac vents.. Which SUCKS in summer and winter. Something to think about.
  7. If you think a few hundred is a "big deal" you've not experienced much in the way of living. Thats the cost of a good dinner for you and your s.o. Spending it on a hobby isnt a big deal. If it is.. Find a new hobby. And again.. I really dont care about your daddy or his friends guns. making up a figure in the 6 digitfigure.. Again, meaningless to me. I build, improve and work on high end cars all day. Its nothing worth mentioning any more in depth, as, much like the gun nonsense, has nothing to do with this thread. Now back on subject- ive answered your question. Would you like more help figuring out why you keep blowing amps, or would you like to remain ignorant
  8. Your dad dropped 15k on a gun. We obviouslyhave different hobbies.. If he had to repair that gun, he'd drop a few hundo. Im trying to help and answer your question. P.S. I dont care what your daddy makes.
  9. Yes my old hifonics has been used daily, since 1987. To answer your basic question.. Most people dont buy authorized anymore (sadly!) And dont have a warranty to start with. Others realize that the average repair (if needed) is only a few hundred. Not that big a deal
  10. Its a valid question. I have amps here exceeding the 20 year old mark, never died.. You are doing something very wrong...
  11. No one comes close to the beryllium bmw (as posted). Its truley amazing
