  1. x2 lolwhat school you going to? I would love to hear it! I am in Springfield but thru Amherst often if you go to UMass.
  2. I snatched up 2 sets of infinity kappa coponets for 132 each shipped off ebay. Just a lil over your budget but I promise worth it. edit: where I got them lol
  3. You should use better screws or even tighten them as you would a tire or a gasket. I have 2 type rs too, with a lil more than 650 rms on each one. No probs with screws. I have also had way better subs back in the day, some ground zeros, no probs with screws then either.
  4. hehe Honda S2000 I rolled one of these 2 or 3 years ago, same color even.(my old mans) They are quick from the start but, they aint shit on the highway.
  5. you could get 1 ohm if you only used 1 coil from each sub! I wouldn't give them more than say 70% of norm rms using both coils.
  6. Thats a crazy looking box! But, it seems to get them numbers, guess thats all that matters.
  7. Hopefully thats it, the fuses. Fuses are dirt cheap like $1.79 at 7 eleven. you can test it out with smaller fuses too you know, just wont beable to bump. So, if you have some smaller fuses laying around. keep us posted wether you got lucky or not.
  8. Got my fingures crossed for ya! Don't forget the inline fuse in the remote wire behind the deck. Might be easier to use a test lamp there. Again good luck, hopefully thats it. Lord knows I have blown my fair share of fuses, wiring stuff up while hot.
  9. All of my amps stay very cool, the PDX and the V series. I have a v series 4 channel a/b class that one gets hot, but I replaced it with the PDX. And for an amp that is rated 600 watts and extra 50 is almost 10% more.
  10. It dont sound to good! Have you checked all your fuses. Maybe even take a test bulb to the hot wire and remote wire. Perhaps you got lucky with a fuse. You should take the neg off the battery when hooking stuff up. (I dont either and know better too)
  11. my 2 sub amps came with like birth sheets, and they both give me a lil over 50 watts extra. Not sure about my PDX amp, dont remember seeing a birth sheet in the box.
  12. Looks alright. I'll wait for the blue ray and get it from netflix. I have my own theater with 96 inch wide screen pic and 7.1 surrond! I love watching hoor flicks on it watching my wife scream and jump. lol
  13. If you could get a NEXT and PREV button in there, for browsing the pics that would be nice too. :tease:
  14. Not too shabby! I like all the pics in one area like that!
  15. That blows, at least there was no tickets or anything. I had something similar happen before and had to tell the judge, I was making adjustments on the eq and such. She laughed and let me off with a warning, as I was leaving she asked if there was woofers. lol I told her yes, but again she was cool, and warned me of the new penalty is up to $500 and 2 weeks in jail. The last time I got one it cost me $50, and I had a cool ticket I hung on the wall. It said on it " And was rattling the windows of the police office of 4141 S. Salina ST." LOL I highlighted that part.
  16. I feel the pain! I have recently lost $26k year part of my income. (side job) I will tell you, I have became a tight ass. lol I am taking steps like giving the gas company $100 every pay period preparing for winter I am also, over paying other bills, just incase something comes up I dont fall on my face.
  17. I had a set of sony ear buds, I picked up at radio shack for $50 about 4 years ago. I loved them great bass and highs! Now I have a set of junk RCA ear buds, they have plenty of bass, but thats all. Junk Junk Junk :censored: lol
  18. I had this happen to me a few times with alpine amps. Most recently was because my infinity kappa perfects cross over. I belive the coil got so hot it shorted out. I also, have had it happen with other speaker that went patially (started sounding crappy when it got warm) went bad. Is it possible the speaker shorted out somehow, maybe a stran of wire is loose somewhere and it got lucky. IDK but good luck!
