Good 2-way alarm. Proximity sensor. Glass break sensor. Back-up battery unit. Extra piezo sirens.
Use several different screws/bolts to mount amp/subs.
That's a start.
Didn't bother to read anymore than the first line of that post. Sorry. Upgrade=redid? K that makes sense. All I did was give simple advice. I said do the big 3 because you never mentioned that it was done. Have a wonderful day, bud.
You can underpower them all you want...but if you are sending signals to your woofers that are clipped to hell, you will cook the coils. My 2 cents...take it or leave it, I guess.
You could get 2 high powered 12s. A high powered amp. Build a well designed ported box. Seal it off at the trunk facing inside the vehicle. There are many options. If I was doing a trunk build, I would wanna seal the trunk off with em facing the cabin...can't do that with 4 12s unless you wanna wall...but that's a different story.
Depends on budget really. And how loud you really wanna be. When you start getting into high powered amplifiers, you need a high output alternator, batteries, 1/0 wire, and lots of other shit. It adds up quick.
Could go with neither. :/ if you wanna really get loud there are better products out there for the money. What amp will you be using?
But if I had to choose between the two...probably Alpine. Type r stuff is decent.
First, make sure your vehicle can fit a double din or if anyone makes a dash kit for one. You may need to do some cutting on your dash to make it fit.
I'd recommend one with 4v preouts. You can get a Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD/BT for $350-$400. Hell, if you go to a Best Buy and find one (almost all stores are sold out)...they have them on EOL (end of life status)...I got mine for $111 and change.
I loved mine......
