I also predrill/countersink MANY screws. As long as you predrill it you shoulnd't have any splitting issues. Liquid nails is ok as a "sealant" on the inside edges, just like silicone or caulking, but a BONDING wood glue is best for the actual construction. The diff between Construction and interior sealing should be noted-and if your measurements and CUTS are "true" enough, you shouldn't need interior sealant, the glue along a straight edge will seal perfectly. Be careful using silcone to seal the interior and make sure it's completely CURED before you install the subs because some silicones emit FUMES as they cure that are BAD for FOAM surrounds on subs.

That is the replacement line that has built in "quick connect/disconnects" in the ends (lil white pieces kinda poking out) You will need some "a/c line/fuel line" disconnect tools to get it apart unless you can dig in there w/ a pair of needle nose pliers, but honestly the tools for the job is much easier. Nice lookin box design. Gonna be inverted? or magnet visible thru the plexi? Pretty much every angle on that sub=boner so however you mount it will be sick but I think if there's enough air inside the box, i'd mount it regular rather than inverted. Nice choice on equipment-as you said it should be a very nice daily. Keep us posted on the build pics, your front dash/mid setup looks incredible. Props all the way around.

Not neccessarily Tim, Technically it could be any old color and I don't have a shot of your motor at hand-if you could post a shot of the blue sensor in question I could prolly ID it for ya. If it's still oem it could be blue or brown, if it's aftermarket it could be grey, black,silver, etc. snap a pic of ur engine bay or the spot ur lookin at the blue sensor. Meanwhile I see if I can dig up some pics of the sensors for ya. IAC...? Idle Air Control. Could be bad Valve or the sensor. However, there's also: Throttle position sensor (TPS) Idle stop solenoid Idle speed control actuator EGR valve Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, and PCV valve. Damn man... I have been on the hunt for some clean 1200.1's but I dunno about sendin it out and gettin it fixed. I will consider it tho and keep checkin this thread for updates. I was trying to round up 4 of em, and so far I have 3 but they're ALL flawless. I love the one in my ride. too bad they don't make em like that anymore.

I agree w/ forevrbumpin to some degree- I think 2 is doable and would be sick loud....but consider this: A sub will play in ANY configuration- big box, tiny box, even free air. Mount it, Apply power and it will make some sound. What were talkin bout here is how well/efficient it will play in a given setup. You could TOTALLY just glass the rear seating area, trunk and all and keep the setup below window line, and either squeeze 3 18's in there staggared kinda pointing forward or go 2 forward and one up. Just run em in whatever space ends up (net) in the giant enclosure. They will prolly end up a bit UNDERSPACED due to the tight area, but that would just mean they would sound punchier and as Forevr pointed out more "SQ like" or accurate due to having the effective "tighter" suspension (more resisitence in the smaller air volume). Prolly not "ideal" or "typical" sound for an 18" beast but I bet it would still sound damn nice and IMO BETTER due to the improved transient response. If you kept it sealed it would also be more easily done but I'm SURE you would want it ported and in that case I would consider a design like Pstones in the "Flying White sausage" (jesus did i just type that?) or roscoe's setup w/ the xxx 18's or Assman's van where the port is the "negative" area around where the subs are mounted. I think that'd be ur best bet if you absolutely had to port it. ~2cents.

I have posted a few so I will consider myself included in that and even if not I appreciate you sayin so as there IS a lot of talented and inspriational ideas over here. 1st Impression: Without a wall, or above window line I dont see it goin down. I have the same gen integ and unless u go above window line I really have a hard time seeing 3-18's with proper air AND fitting them giant RF amps and some Batts to run em. Mind you-I think it IS doable, just gotta use EVERY tiny bit of air in there. Spare tire well galssed, entire trunk glassed, rear seat area used and walled I can see it. Otherwise I don't think there's enough surface area to fit 3-18's-Horizontally or otherwise. I'mma go play around in my ride and I'll get back to ya if I can fig it out but not till some serious numbers are crunched. Nice box from what I can tell from the cell cam pix. I'd go above w1's tho. And make sure the rear deck is as OPEN as possible to let the pressure into the cabin.
