  1. Way to not mention the whoo-ride foo. hahahaha. ..."whoo-ride" currently under construction by...guess who? Teaser pics in a few.
  2. Tang Band Dayton AA Assassin's (yes I know they're gonna be Fi) Elemental designs RE RE 8's Kicker CVR's are decent as well JL 8w3v2 Image Dynamics IDQ8's Kicker L7's (I have bought some I found BNIB from a couple yrs ago on ebay stores) AudioQue DD Adire 8w7 although pretty damn pricey. Those are some of my favs.
  3. Well thanx for the vote AND for voting properly. I didn't mean I was gettin votes for being Mr. cool guy...Just giving my "take" on how the voting should go/be based on. Nice civic btw-I forgot what you were driving so I had to revisit the post.
  4. Thanx lovellsz. I have voted for "the best" IMO each month so far- Blockshaker and Epicenter so far...that's who I thought shoulda won given the nominees. AFTER the BEST setup, I would HOPE the 2nd, 3rd, etc, coolest setups would have the next highest post count, rather than a popularity contest based on the nominee being "a great guy". I could surely get more votes if I had all my local buddies sign up on SMD and vote for me, but that would make it a popularity contest and I don't think thats how it should be. Thanks to anyone who voted for my setup previously I REALLY appreciate the love. I try to put my ALL into whatever I build. Keep in mind tho, I'd rather lose to a guy that PWNs my setup THIS month and be re-nominated the next time around than get picked over a better setup.
  5. Thnx civic. I think i might be feelin left out from the show and tell section and have to post some teaser pics of my current projects.
  6. Damn, Thanx guys! I can't help but feel the love around here. The compliments are much appreciated and I should have some fancey new stuff in the members/builds section...I just want it done b4 I post it. May the best setup prevail! Maybe 3rd time's the charm? hahaha. Archived: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...?showtopic=3506 Vids from that section: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...?showtopic=4283
  7. "...a silver spoon in his cocksucker..." WOW-GP ur creativity is always a pleasure and I may just have to steal that one, as usual hahahha. "...I've got a pretty big thing for correct grammer/spelling/punctuation..." Thanx, me too. Moms was a English teacher so I had to be on my toes haha. It's a decent "setup"...clean/artsy and whatnot, and I'm sure it PWNS almost any HS setup but as has been said: $$$$ does not equal the BEST/LOUDEST setup. I have 12 Trophies from events where I was out-$$$'d on parts and "install". The man behind the work goes a much longer way than $$$ IMO. I have only seen one celebrity w/ a "loud" setup..although I have no ###'s for it-Roy Jones Jr. was on Cribs and showed his "music truck" as he called it: A small SUV (explorer or S-10 Blazer maybe) with about 12-12's in a wall.
  8. OK-I knew I'd find this bish. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/imag...12&ei=UTF-8 Any lazy asses care to get their learn on? The truth lies somebetween these concepts/ideas: http://www.hothardware.com/hh_files/CCAM/s...rsetup(1).shtml http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/speaker.htm http://www.suzuki.cybercomm.nl/sound.html http://www.ecoustics.com/Home/Home_Audio/S...eaker_Articles/
  9. Distance of the mid and tweet from your ear plays a BIG role in imaging. You ideally want you tweets slightly farther (about 1.5"-2" in my car) away from the listeners' ears as the tweeter freq's "rise" or travel through the air at a much more rapid rate than the lower frequencies like mid range and midbass. Thus, either using distancing or "reflection" which actually does the same thing by making a tweeter aim at a hard surface and bounce it's sound/energy waves off that surface before traveling to the listener and "hopefully" reach the ear at the same time. The better you place your mids/tweets in this way will better "align" the seperate passbands or frequencey ranges such that they should reach your ears at the same time and "blend" better rather than sounding seperate and distinctly off timed. If an instrument makes the sound all the parts of that sound (hi/low/med) come from the same spot so this is what you're trying to "mimic" w/ "imaging". In an EXTREME SQ car, I've seen the drivers seat relocated along with the the steering wheel, gas, and brake pedels to the center of the car and and the driver has to drive from the center of the back seat. It was in a festiva hatch that won Iasca SQ a good 5yrs back or more. I'll look for the car to post up.
  10. DEEEEMNIT! I wish i could check it out on cam, but imma be at work till 930. I guess i'll know soon as I'm home and check the results. GOOD LUCK ERRBODY!....but me especially hahhahaha j/p.
  11. Lookin soo cute in moms jewelry and lipstick. Fehg.
  12. My bro had a pair of them in his first ride. Not bad. Not great either. here's "better" IMO: Mach-5 Audio MAW-12 $63.51ea T/S Parameters - MAW-12 (coils connected in series) Fs = 23.3 Hz Re = 8 Ohms Qes = 0.30 Qms = 3.03 Qts = 0.27 Mms = 144 grams Rms = 6.96 kg/s Cms = 0.324 mm/N VAS = 76.6 litres Sd = 408.3 cm2 Xmax = 13 mm Cone Diameter = 22.9 cm Recommended Box Sizes: Sealed: 29 litres (1 cu. ft.) Ported: 51 litres (1.8 cu. ft.) 28Hz tuning xmax on the SPL12's is 6.6mm. http://mach5audio.com/index-2.html
  13. OMFG. I am AMAZED. That guy in camo is my new hero. I bet he shops at the Autozone on kiefer.
  14. Boredom strikes again. Chocolate milk....hahahahhahahahaa. Nice one man. Next time you're "bored" just find some nice big glass windows to rattles from 50ft away for those twaeks that said it's impossible-sheeit I did it the other day at my shop tryin to get my buddies alarm...E-40 & Tpain, you & dat...DONE. hahaha
  15. EEEEEEEEWWWWWW! U from the south?
  16. 30''? How bout 40's? http://twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?foru...;msg_id=1969500
  17. DAAAAAYUM. DATSALOTTABOX. ....lotta xmax too! them 15's sure can move. what kind of subs are those? looks like that should be one loud mofo. what are the plans for the cover material? Lookin good so far man keep them pics/vids comin.
  18. Nope. It's so you WON'T have to do a VC swap. Fuse blows before the coil can. Makes it impossible to "overdrive" em w/ out a clipped signal and even then i think the heat would kill the fuse before the coil. The swappable voicecoils are on the SPG555 the oval shaped ones i think only and maybe the G5's but not sure on that one-i think its juts the oval sub tho.
  19. HA! Nah Steve, if anything it LOOKS as loud or louder than it is....which is just plain RIDICULOUS, cuz yea..."news flash": IT'S A SLUMPER! Is has that nice "EVERYTHING MOVING" look. BTW-Is the guy on the right "smiling" or just gritting/grinding his teeth from the pressure? Can't really blame em either way.
  20. Damn Imaa be a busy mo-fo this summer. 2 major rebuilds unless the first one just KILLS this summer. I will only say this: I have 47 woofers to play with hehehe. The most I'm planning on running is 8 at a time tho.
  21. Well....how bout you double check the back of the magnet where it says either "dual 2ohm" or "dual 4ohm"...? These ever seen power? and...6? I thought you said 2 of em before? now it's 6!!! Hmmm.... MORE INFO please.
  22. Correct. IMO-everything NORTH of the 7500 series is fine and dandy, good product. UNTIL you have the jackass hammer. It's a ridiculous GIMMICK woofer. The MX line LOOKED ok, as will/do from what Ive seen, the "smaller jackhammer" series, but....looks CAN be decieving and the ####'s dont seem to back up any HYPE IMO. The specs in that news break are FAR from "impressive"... 500-600rms..ok-thats about standard these days....7pound magnets....do I even need to address THAT in this forum full of Fi and RE subs boasting 20+lb magnets...hell i'm pretty sure the HCCA 10's i have are bout 20lbs for just mags and another 15lb w/ frame and all. The ups for 2 of em said 70lbs....divide by 2=35lbs. Thus, I dunno about yall but I'm seriously skeptical of these smaller jackhammers and I wanted you all to be aware that now they're coming in small sizes so when some douche says he has "jackhammer 12's/15's" -don't bet em he doesnt just say-ok bring itover and lets go heads and we'll see who gets PWNed.
  23. FINALLY....a couple new pics w/ the full display... eggman + broken shells The wonderfull world of amateur glass/art.
  24. Thank you. These DO NOT look promising. They look like the MX line (lower level stuff they had to put the name "superwoofers" on to sell em at all). I REALLY hope the guy talkin all that crap comes in w/ his lincoln or his supposed Tahoe w/ the 8-L7 15's. I'd prolly PWN him w/ his ghetto ass setup from Fair Jokes car audio and I'd just call Steve up if it really was true and he had any decent sh*t...but my buddy said it's TERRIBLE. hahahhaha.
