  1. .5 stable by themselves means you need to be around 1 ohm strapped.
  2. Epoxy usually works. Alignment tool can be made out of aluminum, or you can build a make-shift one out of ratchet straps and some wood or steel. Just be careful if you macguyver it, you could break fingers.. and stuff..
  3. $50 isnt bad, they'll perform ok for that price ; )
  4. Hope you didnt pay a lot for them. They'll work fine, just not worth what you paid (if retail) probably.
  5. Just reglue the motor to the top plate. Recone both while you're at it.. I would suggest using an alignment tool while setting the motor onto the top plate.
  6. If you reverse the wires at the amp and coils you'll be running them + to + and - to - again. Just change either at the amp or at the sub(s), not both. The phase switch may also have the numbers "0" and "180" at either end of it. If you're going to run a sub upside down then try it with wires not changed first then changed. Sometimes you dont need to change the phase.
  7. or change the phase on the amp or the head unit (not both).
  8. If its rated at 2 ohms per coil (dual voice coil means there's two of them) then your possible wiring options are 1 ohm, and 4 ohms. Its generally not a good idea to wire below the lowest rated stable ohm load of your amplifier. If your ohm load is 0 but changes when you tap the sub you've either hooked up the DMM incorrectly, have a dead coil, or have a poor connection from the DMM to the sub terminals.
  9. big cone area, big t-line. Even the neighbors will complain.
  10. You guys sure work slow. I can rebuild an axle in 3-5 hours and there was no reason to rebuild anything anyways, just drain it all out, run some oil-cleaner, drain again, then refill with oil and drive away. If he sucked sand into the tranny and diffs from being a douche then he deserved what he got. Always properly route breather lines if you're building a vehicle to play in water/mud..
  11. If your kerf is 12" long then 6" of it is added to port length. Or 9/4.5, 8/4, etc etc etc.. you know, that thing called "half"
  12. Only an issue if he went deep enough to cause hydro-lock which he obviously didnt because the truck never stopped running. Cylinder/exhaust temperatures are hot enough that water in the intake in small amounts isnt an issue. The salt (its fresh water btw) wouldnt cause an issue either as it would not stay in the cylinders long enough to cause corrosion.
  13. Those bolts only go into the top plate. Use a lathe to machine the pipe to the correct size.
  14. d3d reaper thats why I suggested he do what I said ; )
  15. Yes. And it is violated very often here. Every single download link for a slowed & boosted song is illegal. Not that it much matters as in the end we are doing this for non-commercial use and are increasing exposure for the artist. Some artists are cool with it, some are dicks with lawyers attached to their testicles. maybe if artists actually cared about the quality of their songs instead of passing out crap it wouldnt be agree
  16. Because there's a pair of 21's sitting on top of it, some 18's around it, and a stack of amps... plus who knows what else. Needs a recone.
  17. Put a propane tube into the pole vent so you can shoot flames continuously If you have it sticking far enough out the top with holes drilled in the sides you might get a wave form pattern in the flame.. maybe.

  19. You could have a shim made at a machine shop (on a lathe, wouldnt take long) from a piece of pipe that is ~5.5mm thick (get them to measure the gap on each side then average the measurements) and just push the shim into the gap to realign the pole (and entire back plate) with the top plate. If the magnet slugs dont move they should still be fine since they usually have a larger gap anyways. I'd check my solo-x 18 for you but its buried under some stuff right now.. EDIT Make sure the shim is long so you can remove it after lol.. dont want to put it in then never get it out again!!!
  20. I dont think kicker was ever "great" quality.. maybe good for some things. Just different enough to appeal. that said, if you secure the frame to something and push on the magnet/rear plate with a tool that can be controlled you should be able to realign them.
  21. Cut 4 holes in your room door and mount them to the door, use your entire room as the box lol
  22. with frequencies above tuning. T-lines can sound "muddy" to some people depending how you have your setup configured..
