  1. It's more for your car so it doesn't smell like resin for a few weeks but I'll try it anyways since I have some left over.
  2. does this mix well with anything such as the Strawberry or Grape resin mask? it'd be pretty cool if you could sell it already mixed with the mask if it does.
  3. just wait for me to release the product - i will have all the info you need here is a teaser of the label we are working on for the can's. trust me on this, look at all the fiberglass i just did. I used ONE BRUSH and ONE CUP and they are still good right now. Gotta piece of cardboard over the cup so the skylight in my shop doesn't slowly make it gel up. Also, i will have sun activated body filler and kitty hair too! Stay tuned. gotta give you some serious credit on actually making products to change the car audio industry. i'm slowing considering going back in to the car audio world for a career again. I got out in the early part of the 2000s as an installer and sales person. I became a vendor rep in Home Depot and now I'm getting the itch to get back in to car audio b/c of the things I see going on and products that you're coming out with.
  4. you using a mac? I have a mac and needed to download a program to extract it to get it to iTunes.
  5. JVC KD-X50BT Head Unit: Door Bezel where tweeters will be mounted. Hole drilled with hold saw and trimmed to house tweeter mounting. used Loctite Slow Setting super glue. still needs to be blended and painted, hopefully to get done this weekend. Autometer Volt Meter, yet to be mounted. it will be mounted in Dash bezel next to head unit where the factory ash tray was. please stay posted as the fun (glass) has yet to begin.
  6. it's finally time to start my car. it's been a long time waiting. been over 2 years since it's had a sound system. hopefully this is the last time i do an install in this car as I just want it to be my weekend warrior. the system is going to be simple. after sound is done the motor is next. this build will probably last till the end of summer or later (hopefully it gets done before). all the work will be done by me on free time over the weekend.   7. 2.0L duratec motor? might want to try www.fswerks.com or www.topspeedperformance.net a lot depends on what you want your end result to be
  8. instead of clear silicone I use a colored silicone, usually black or bronze, so I can spots that didn't make a good seal. also I never pre-drill my holes, I use Spax hardwood screws, no need to pre-drill or countersink as the screw does it for you.
  9. with your motor being 2.2L and really high reving, that turbo is not going to really help you out. it'll probably run out of breath ~6k rpm. that turbo should have an internal wastegate. you'll need a blow off valve, intake plumbing (intercooler if budgeted), exhaust manifold to mount turbo, downpipe from turbo to exhaust, upgraded injectors, some sort of tuning. good thing about your engine is it's an air velocity tune which are relatively easy.
  10. you'll be fine as long as it's applied well. it'll either last a few weeks or few years, no real way to tell other than just doing it.
  11. should blame the shipping company, should blame sender for not properly packaging motor. i've shipped and received motors and never had this happen
  12. just b/c it's not marked "radio" doesn't mean that is the only one you can check. you should check all fuses. usually the constant is connect to another accessory besides the radio.

  15. i got some Install bay 1/0 wire in blue, it's actually really flexible. $1.65/ft plus actual shipping if interested. I only have about 40-50ft. in the first pic it's the wire in the right, the wire on the left is Hyperflex just to show flexibility.
  16. i'll be sitting for the Basic in a couple of weeks. I stopped working in the industry about 8 years ago and the book back than was not like it is now. Hopefully the questions are as easy now as it was back than. I heard that now you actually need to know what all the colors on the resistors stand for and that any thing in the margin notes is definitely on the test. Good Luck with your test, you just taking it for fun or for work? I'm taking it in hopes to actually make a footprint in the super saturated market down here.
  17. don't go bragging about shipping speed when you don't even have the product. I ordered a re-cone kit for my Q on 10/1 and got an e-mail on 10/4 saying it's been sent but my UPS tracking still says "billing info received" and it's 10/9. brag about shipping speed after you get your stuff.
