if you say so. ill pass on the $300 recone service. thats crazy price. Might be worth it if I paid the ungodly price for a brand new one, but for a sub i paid $200 for there is no way i could spend $300 on a recone. Sub isnt that great.

its hit and miss with having those stores cut your box for you. ive done it twice, first time was excellent, guy was almost dead on. 2nd time wasnt so good, not even straight cuts.. how that happens with a panel saw i dont know lol. Lowes is where I have gone, first time they cut out all of them for free and 2nd time they mentioned 2 free cuts and .25 cents each one after but ended up doing them for free. If you go that route and the guy does good offer him a tip

I dont own an 02 impala but its a trunk car, might want to put some thought into if you really have room to properly fit 2 15's in there. Might be possible im not for sure but seems like your really pushin it. Give some dimensions you have to work with and see if someone can calculate it up for you to see what you do have room for. cone area usually wins.

Do you have another amp to swap it with for a minute? Doing that will possibly take the amp out of the equation. if it works with another amp then your amp has a problem, if its the same thing then your amp might still be cool. then go from there. just my .02.

whats your electrical looking like? running at a half ohm you will have to beef up that electrical a little bit. make sure to factor that into the equation.

Just bought one of these for my s10, decent battery for sure. Hell of alot cheaper than the kinetik's in my tahoe.. not sure if any better than the kinetik's but no voltage drop so it served its purpose. if you go this route call them and see if they can order you up a fresh one, luckily my cousin is a manager over there and pushed me back a day so i could get a freshy. Dont want a battery that has been on the shelf for a year, ya know?

Im curious on this as well. I was thinking of doing a sub forward port up box in a truck, so it wont be very deep. Thinking that the motor may be gettin kinda close to the rear port wall in the enclosure.

I had mine in 3.3cu ft, tuned to 33hz. had it hooked up to a Older fosgate power 1000.1bd @ 2 ohm. Mine was also smaller than i wanted but it was in a truck. Sounded decent, if i were to do it again i would go bigger box. For now the Q 15 will sit on the shelf lol. ive moved on again. the 1000watt's they recommend for that thing is a joke if you ask me, ive thrown 1500 watts into a Q 12 and it wants more, and only threw 1000 at this 15. they can definitely take more if you ask me.
