thats eight bolts 1 coil of each sub goes to a set of bolts the other coils is connected + to - with 8 gauge EDIT: just saw your edit lol the other 4 voice coils are connected together just like the diagram Yes I fixed my post to say voice coils instead of bolts (told you it was late and my head hurts!) I hope you mean the + from one coil and the - from the other coil (on the same sub) other wise you are only using 1 coil from each sub and thus getting your .5 ohm reading (4 2ohm coils in parallel) that is what im doing didnt now it needed to be the positive of one coil connected to the negative of the OTHER coil i will rewire them tommorow and see if it fixes it either way if it was a .5 ohm load the AQ2200D handled it like a champ thanks for the help No problem! let us now if it sounds any better!

thats only 4 boltsvoice coils, it's late and my head hurts so maybe I am just missing something.

Running a jumper from the inputs of one crossover to the other is ok, not outputs of each crossover.

Changing the ohm load before the crossovers only affects (or effects) the amp. Changing the ohm after the crossovers will mess up the crossover points.

Straight to the battery. Keep the wire you have, downgrading to 4gauge won't help anything.

no doesn't work like that, you will be fine. Make sure you have a nice terminal block for the battery though. a bunch of 0g wires on a post looks bad

You should have already upgraded your wiring. The big 3 is the first thing you should do when dealing with voltage drop and maybe even the first thing you should do regardless of voltage drop.
