  1. The new Scion xBs actually have pretty nice peppy engines in them and for the price they are great.. Plus they come with very good warranties and from everything I've seen are super reliable. Personally that would be my choice of the two, there's my .02.
  2. Aeros don't cost much money when made yourself out of a Sonotube... I say make either a single 8" or 10" aero yourself. Can make one cheaply by just simply using a good amount of resin and it makes the tube very stiff after hardening. Also can make it rock solid by using resin, glass, and then sum bondo + sanding it to be glass smooth.
  3. Awesome, plain and simple... This gonna be at SBN with all the other Sundown rides?? Vids?? Numbers??
  4. Hey Jake so the last day to place an order for these is Monday?? If so then you'll be hearing from me then on getting 2 or 3 for my girl's bday. I think 3 of these in a trunk car could do a legal 145 off like 1500-2k daily.
  5. I got my first system in my car when I was 16(I'm almost 27 now) and besides the 18 months being locked up, the longest without bass in that period was prolli 3 months or so.
  6. They look pretty impressive and the stitched cones are soo sexy.. If the new lines of woofers are anything like past T3 products then u won't be disappointed with the results. What kind of electrical are u gonna have to support those 3 Kicker amps??
  7. I thought that the single slug BTL motors were all different for each size. I may be wrong but u might wanna check with Scott before ordering your basket + recone. Also do u have the proper airspace for an 18??
  8. Where are u from?? U might be able to find someone in your area to help u out or that can build one for you, so u wouldn't have to deal with the fact of shipping a 60lb+ large item. PM me with what type of box you want(ported/sealed/ect.), dimensions u have to work with, and what kind of finishing if any u want done(carpeting, etc). I've been looking to help someone out recently and I'll give u a nice price on whatever you're looking for.
  9. What engine does it have?? Auto or manual?? I used to have a 2003 Jetta Wolfsburg that i got dirt cheap as a daily driver, for up and back from work(when I was going 80+ miles each way). It had the 1.8t motor / tiptronic auto tranny in it and I never run into a single problem with it. Had surprisingly enough power for daily highway drives and after a couple minor mods can be a fairly quick car. I gave it to one of my cousins down here for his first car like a year ago(when it had 150k+) and it's still running no problems.
  10. I'm sure you can find a decent amount of info on Google about building you're own carputer if u did sum looking.
  11. I actually did the same exact thing when I was a senior in HS 8+ years ago... I got to do a visual presentation at the end and brought the 3 teachers/3 students who were judging me outside for a few demos. I think my mother prolli still has my tri-fold board back in NY with the pictures of the box, subs, and the final install. Just talk about how port area, tuning, enclosure space, etc can change so much about how the sub(s) reproduce notes.
  12. Looks nice, I'm interested to see what the Hoopty + Hoe could do in Bassrace.
  13. Prior to installing Steve massages each woofer with Mark Potts's own TCAB SPL dust so it can handle any amount of power he wants to throw at it. Only people that have been around the forums for a few years will truly understand this.
  14. Something like 2 Mach 5 SPL12s would be pretty badass off the 2 AP amps and sealed off firing into the cabin. If built correctly I could see u doing sum nice numbers, plus a sick daily.
  15. Bandpass enclosures can be incredible if done correctly and can have a very flat response across a wide frequency band.. But I'd suggest using an accurate calculator first and seeing how u like a proper ported enclosure first, then venture into that BP category.
  16. Nice ride but watch out for tranny issues with those gen blazers.
  17. I'd look for 2 15" Nightshades, would be perfect in small airspace applications and be just fine on that power.
  18. Can't believe no one asked yet, how much power you'll be running to either setup??
  19. 8" and larger ports are more custom made and easily made out of sonotubes, resin, and sum fiberglass.
  20. Why are u only stuck on these 2 companies?? There are others out there that make sum great batts, like Northstar.
  21. I'd personally go with a single 8" or 10" aero over any of the options listed above.
