  1. Dude do like I do, run each remote wire from from amps to switches. Now I can turn on/off back speakers, front speakers, deck speakers, pillar speakers, outside speakers, trunk subwoofer, and interior subwoofers. I just think it's cool
  2. Can I really tell a difference in the sound, I mean what difference does it make when you add 8"s? There will be over a dozen 6.5"s. Will the 8"s be heard. Mid-bass is between 50hz-250hz right? 6.5"s can play that, just not as loud?
  3. Damn that is a very well put post. The whole thread is in it.
  4. 17 T.Vs over 35 speakers. This is nothing. Okay I'm going to stick with 2 subs. What would sound better in a Ford Focus cabin like that, two 8" or 2 10" with only 500RMS? I already got a 15" Fi Q in the trunk.
  5. Found a pic finally I need to do this http://s916.photobuc...rsinmiddele.jpg but keep the original fabric looking stock, had anyone ever done this? I'm going to be using a Rockford T500.1 just wondering what the best configuration would be, two ten's at 1 ohm would be easy for me to wire but I don't know if one ten and two eights would somehow work at 1 ohm. Is there anyway to make those 3 speakers run at one ohm? The amp puts out 770 RMS at 1 ohm so I'm thinking 500 RMS to work with.
  6. What I'm thinking so far is cut the fabric a straight line down the middle from the top to the bottom, just the fabric, not the thick rubber at both ends that wrap around the seats. Take out all the foam and springs just in the middle until I get to the metal backing. Then put 2 pieces of MDF down so it can be screwed in the the metal backing. This way It can be taken out if necessary. I made a picture showing my most current design. The screws will have to be drilled from the the woofer holes. I want the existing fabric to somehow look unaffected with this middle console in there I need the 2 side seats to be usable. Has anyone seen how this is done? Any ideas, hints because I have seen it at car shows but i can't find ANY pics to go by. http://s916.photobucket.com/albums/ad5/cz3chmonkey/?action=view&current=0711ToyotaCamryRear4060Benchimage.jpg
  7. Yea Matt's a really good guy, does everything he can to help out and gives awesome advice
  8. If I were you I would just get 4 12"s. They're cheaper and it looks awesome. It really sucks going by a power limit. Alot of 18" like too much power it almost seems a waste to get an 18. Getting two 15"s and only feed them 1000 sounds good too. That would be my second choice.
  9. I can't find any pictures on the internet, guess I can't think of the right keywords. I kind of have an idea of how I will attempt it but I think if I can actually see some examples and hopefully an actual build it would help out tremendously. It's a 2004 Ford Focus and it will take up the middle seat in the back bench. I'm thinking 2 10"s or one 10" and two 8"s? I am going for sealed and most likely polyfill. I might even put in a pair of monitors. I uploaded a photobucket picture with my rough outline. This is my first time posting because it is a last resort. Any info, ideas, links? 10. Based on your very short list, I would say go by cone area and price so the 4 - 12". How much volume you have to play with? Sealed or ported?
  11. Oh man I've known about the relief cuts since forever but never actually remember to do it. Looks amazing already. Taking longer just means you're doing it right
  12. What?! Damn all this time I though you had to take the whole housing out and bake it so you can spray it from the inside. Well guess what I'll be doing pretty soon
  13. A bunch of red pin stripe stars infront of the front wheels or on the hood above the front wheels. Like a large, medium, and a small star.
  14. This build is so clean and so far above my level lol nice to see people doing it big. Keep it coming.
  15. Don't cheap out! I bough a cheap alternator, basically a no name it did work and provided over 200 amps like it advertised. I put it in last October, last week it stopped putting out voltage! It runs at 10.3v, my car barely runs. I stopped driving because I know it's just going to kill my battery. I'm ordering a Mechman alternator this week, which I should have done in the first place. And the thing is, it will cost me more to put it in because the whole engine has to come out. Btw, I payed $240 for my alternator. The Mechman costs around $500, but the same one is in the Sony demo cars, so this thing is sure to deliver. If I were you I would start with the alt first. Because if you strain your alternator and it gets damaged, you won't be driving.
  16. Go somewhere else for loans, what doctors do is go bankrupt, yea their credit sucks for a while but at least they don't have to pay back like half a million dollars lol
  17. Sorry to hear that, BUT DAMN that is a sick looking Tahoe, That's my dream car right there man. What did Meade do? When you look at his truck the wheels are at 90 degrees, no butterfly.
  18. Thats cheap means you live in the states, I always have to add $100+ to get it to Canada. There's a shop here that sells "Brown Bread" for $10/sq.ft.
  19. I wish I had your restraint, I'm unemployed but I still manage to spend $300 a week.
  20. Wow I wish I knew about eDead before I bought 250 sq.ft. of fatmat, its half the price and double the thickness! Balls.
