  1. You could replace your stock battery for the D2400 under the hood and be fine. The D2400 will fit fine in the stock location the terminals are just reversed, but if you are upgrading your wiring it would be no problem at all to extend your cables to make it work. This battery would run that 1500D great with plenty of reserve.
  2. The 1800 is the same physical size as the D3400, but the D3400 will give you a ton more power output and reserve capacity. With the terminals toward you the positive would be on the left hand side. 2 3400s would be plenty of power for you.
  3. You wouldn't want to have different voltage outputs unless they are charging separate systems (stock alt and an alt set to 14.9V). The different amperage outputs wouldn't make a difference though.
  4. I would need to see the top of the D2700 you have. If its the newest version then the IBar will not work with the D2700. Do you just need automotive posts? If so all you need to do is get a set of 580 short brass posts or 586 tall brass posts. That is if you do not want to run ring terminals.
  5. What kinetics were you running? Do you want batteries the same size for replacement? Just by size it looks like you may be able to use the D6500 under the hood.
  6. The D6500 would fit in the stock position and would work fine for you with that system. I you just want to add in a secondary battery the 3400 would work.

  10. That application came with two battery options. You probably have a Group 24F. If so you could run a D2400 under the hood if you extend your cables and then a smaller battery in the back. Just depends on what you would rather do.
  11. Easiest way is build a box for them from MDF or something else.
  12. If it is for the GMC in your avatar the S3400 would work good. You could replace your current battery with a S3400 and get great results.
  13. We do not make an alternator for that application. The D1200 is $180 plus shipping and the D3100s are $349 plus shipping.
  14. 12.9 would be fully charged. Easy test is to charge it up fully and test it with a volt meter. Should be around 14.4V when fully charged just off the charger. Then let it set for about 12hrs and test the voltage again. Should be around 12.9 or more. If thats what you get then you should be good.
  15. If you are running a GM style alt as a secondary alt and it is not connected to your stock electrical, then yes you could use a VCM.
  16. Only way the VCM will work with Fords is if you are running a separate alternator that is not connected through the stock electrical.
  17. Machine shop is still working through building the new hold downs. Unfortunately I do not have a firm date on the hold down.
  18. If you are looking for a battery then I would suggest using the S3400 under the hood and be done with it.
  19. Were the 3 Alts working before you hooked the VCM up? The VCM can not be used to power all of the alts. It only works to control all of the alts. Is this on a 12V system?

  21. To be covered under warranty they cant be charged at all over 14.9V. I have seen them handle 15+ volts for a while though and be fine, but I would strongly discourage it unless you just want to buy new batteries. Once you vent one of the batteries you lose power, and can not get that back.

  23. A constant 15+V charge on any 12v battery is not a good idea. 14.9V is the max charge rate on our batteries. When you get above that you can cause the battery to vent (pushes gasses out of the battery and gives a horrible sulfur smell) or swell.
