If its still there with the rca's unplugged it has to be a problem in between the amp and speakers. Check your gains and all your wires in between you speakers and amp. Are your crossovers wire up right?

That sounds like the way to go. Working in a shop sounds fun now but I have a feeling I'll regret not going a different route.

It seems like 12v installers are lucky to get more than a 25k salary. Anyone know about advanced installs and fabrication jobs? Average salary? I'm not trying to make a full career out of cause I'm not tryin to ruin a good hobby but just a job to have for a while.
