  1. I mean, im always using snap on, maco tools at the shop, and the house. So i hardly ever have a tool break on me. But I always like to think in consideration, what if i leave a tool behind on the jobsite, i dont want to be out a 15 dollar screw driver or more. Im just thinking about going to drive around and price things before i buy. My dad just told me to go to harbort freight and buy the cheap shit, incase i lose or it or break it, they replace it lol.
  2. As for a unibody, i thought you ground to the thickest part oh metal, and almost every unibody has a sub frame such as where the engine is, or just run your own ground from the battery back. Dunno really lol.
  3. youll need something to heat the glue up, that way it will be easier to remove, do like the guy above did and try some fishing line. Be slow and careful cant rush it or else to wont remove all the glue.
  4. So well i took the job offer, he wanted me to start off the day i posted this, but i asked him see if i can start after my current schedule is done, which is aug 5, so he agreed. As of aug 6, i will be started the first day of work with him. Now i just get to go tool shopping , since i cant use my dads tools at the house. I get to go spend money for new ones. He told me i would need the basic tools for starting, such as pliers, screw drivers, hammer, tape measure. So was where should i look for a decent set of tools to look at. No mac tools, snap on, etc cant afford those. I was thinking maybe craftsmen at sears, or going to home depot and seeing whats on sale, since i know ill break something.
  5. 1100.2, it does run very hot indeed, im running the same amp to my mids and highs. At 2 ohms, it will draw tons more power because you will be running it under the stable ohm load, yes i ran it at two ohms bridged for about 3 months, but it used to get hot as hell, but it would have no clipping, tuned with dd-1. But i wouldnt suggest running that amp at that ohm load daily, unless you have a fan for the amp to help it stay cool.
  6. Im going to rerun everything now, thanks brian, now i have to get my ass out there in the heat when i have time.
  7. funny, i cant get rid of my alt whine either, ive tried ground loop, new rca's and such but still stay their, damn cherokee always has to be a bastard somewhere lol.
  8. So still cant sleep, havnt slept since wensday night. Dunno why, but im just wide awake. Havnt done any drugs, just been doing the daily thing, go to work, come home etc.

  9. That amp is taking power from a tiny coffee straw seems like it.
  10. If you can fit the D3100 go for it, if not i know the d3400 is slightly smaller in size. Both are excellent batteries.
  11. Just try to put the biggest battery you can fit under the hood, it will help long ways down the road.
  12. I think your a little over your head in my opinion, based off the questions you are asking, but thats what we are here for, is to help before you drop tons of money. Have you really priced what the lvl 5's go for? Have you check to see how much current those amps really will pull?
  13. Never knew that. Man i learned my fact for today.
  14. Bored, cant sleep, just been searching the forums for awhile.

Exactly been on the forum since 11pm, and cant stay off of it.

  15. couple lvl 4's will fit your budget, and not break the bank to hard trying to find an amp for them.
  16. Damn wish i can get killer deal like that on some ups batts. My optima red top, and hc800 been doing me well though.
  17. If it wont move, i bet your coil will be a slinky when you take it apart, Also look at the tensil leads, if they are burnt, either to much power, or major clipping.
  18. I would try to talk to psi, see if they can refoam them for you, might be able to get a stitched foam for your subwoofers.
  19. let us know how it performs for you.
  20. What kind of 8ga are you running, it may have to much resistance and not sending the proper voltage to the amp, what is the voltage at the amp before it cuts out? What are you exactly reading ohm load at the amp?
  21. I know that psi is able to do something custom for the l7 but you would have to call them and see about the l5, they could do some custom subwoofers for you, which is better than buying new ones, which you will have a new subwoofer once it comes back from psi for little bit cheaper, and it will be stronger.
